In between some of my other projects, I have been working on an update for this mod, involving some color adjustments. In particular, I wanted to include a wider variety of colors within each group (more distinct blondes, reds, etc.) rather than the light / dark gradation that defines this version.
However, the differences between the two versions are pronounced enough that I'm considering releasing the new version as its own mod and keeping this one as it is. This mod was made primarily for people who don't want to have to fiddle with a color wheel from another mod, and I don't want to pull the rug out from under people if they don't like the new color they'd inherit.
I'll make sure to announce the new mod when it is released.
Thanks for reading,
Dread Swoop
There are a couple mods I could recommend regarding new hairstyles, however. The first, Barbarian Barber, is pretty popular and has well over 100 styles to choose from, I think. A couple of them need to be fixed, but on the whole they're decent:

Simple Hairstyles is another, it offers much fewer hairstyles in comparison to Barbarian Barber, but they're much closer to the aesthetic of the base game.

There may be a mod compatibility issue going on, I'm not sure if you're using cosmetic mods which also extend into hair color. Placing this mod lower in the load order may help overcome that issue.
Unsubscribing and resubscribing to the mod may help as well, provided there was an issue with Steam's delivery.
I've been working on another Conan project recently and, given that I've been looking at many, many NPCs, I'm starting to feel as if some of the colors (specifically the reds) are a little too similar to each other, as I can't necessarily tell the difference in the field.
To address that, I may draw those colors apart, adjust the hues of some of them to give a bit more variety. The plan will be to update them in the coming days or weeks, but if people are satisfied with them as they are, I can keep the update for myself.
As always, feedback is welcome. Be well.
I think it may be possible to effectively lock the eyelashes to black by editing their material file, I'll give it a try when I am able.
I typically use the custom RGB color picker when I want a light color like blond because the game's blond is a muddy straw color. Playing with color, saturation and brightness lets me have a pretty golden or a white blond or strawberry.
Problem is, using custom color causes the lashes to match the hair color exactly. It doesn't matter which color slot I start out with before opening the customizer; any custom color will have the lashes identical to the hair. It looks absolutely bizarre 90% of the time.
