Well! We've Done it again!

Our popular small frigate design has undergone yet another refit. The changes are significant enough to warrant a new introduction.

Everything you love about the original but now with more functionality and endurance.

Truth be told, this is not a heavy combat vessel. This was always meant to be a longer range scout, recon and survey frigate. Able to support a crew of 1 to 3 for extended periods, the Athabasca class is small, light and functional.

The engineering section is accessible via the underneath hatch for maintenance. We've added more space in the crew cabin along with armory, cryopod, shelving and storage. The bridge has been rediesgned to recess the operations and tactical stations. If the main helm is damaged or destroyed, the other two stations are protected enough to take over command. We've added more programmable blocks and displays for all the scripts you want. Added to the armor to make it more durable. Improved the hanger bay.

To put it simply, she is tougher, stronger and able to do more for longer than previous versions of the Athabasca class. We did experiment with her armament but found the faster firing assault cannon turrets gave her the best punch.

And to think we were still able to keep her under 8000 PCU.
