Ambition of the Cosmic [Continued]

Description
- = - INTRODUCTION - = -

"Science will never, ever come to an end. Even when we believe all the discoveries to have been made, there will still be yet more things to learn of our reality, of our condition, because some things will forever be beyond our reach, even if we don't know it."

Welcome to Ambition of the Cosmic. This mod extends the late-game of RimWorld to the extreme, providing a massive time-sink for overwhelming power.

Welcome to Ambition of the Cosmic, previously known as Science Never Stops: Ambition of the Cosmic. This mod is a lengthy and very, very overpowered extension to the RimWorld late-game. It takes the original concept of Aion Algos' Science Never Stops, and turns it up to 11. You'll go through varying levels of hilarious overpoweredness, from crushing Cataphracts to wiping out hundreds-strong raids with a teen who never shot a gun before in his/her life.

The gameplay loop is rather simple, and boils down to trading for tons of plasteel and gold early on to produce everything, then eventually producing your own resources from nothing but time and labor. You go through three (or four, if you enable the True Pinnacle of Creation addon) tiers of technology, with a bunch of buildings, weapons, consumables, and other items for each of those tiers, until you are able to do pretty much anything effortlessly.

If you like being overpowered as all hell, this is your mod. If you like working hard to get to endgame and then laughing as you outpace your enemies even more than you already could in vanilla, this is your mod. If you like being even MORE overpowered, get TPOC. If you don't like patience-based resource generation and being able to crush your enemies without much effort, then I'm unsure why you got this far, but you should definitely avoid AOTC.

This mod was originally made by Aion Algos (formerly known as Alestor) and was known as Science Never Stops. This mod was once called Science Never Stops: Ambition of the Cosmic, but AOTC has moved so far away from the original vision of Aion's SNS, that I've decided to remove the 'Science Never Stops' portion of the mod. The original SNS and this mod, AOTC, are not compatible and should NOT be combined, or things will break.

New creator's note : I took over the mod after Explodoboy announced that he would no longer be keeping the mod up-to-date due to no longer having the time to do so.

old Ambitions of the Cosmic
This is our legacy.

== ADDONS ==

AOTC : True Pinnacle of Creation
An addon where anything that might look even remotely balanced is thrown overboard.

== INTEGRATIONS ==

Elite Bionics Framework
If you are using EBF with AOTC, bionics will get massive increases in limb health. For best results, add a mod that removes lethal damage threshold.

No More Lethal Damage Threshold
Removes the arbitrary 150 damage cap that force-kills pawns. Pretty much mandatory when using EBF.

Explodoboy
The original developer of Ambitions of the Cosmic. Without him, nothing would have been powwible.

Paradoxical
The first contributor to the mod, right after I forked it.

So, the Cosmic Power armor blocks the Utility slot. However, without the Utility Slot, I cannot wear a (modded) backpack, meaning I do not have enough carry weight for both weapons and armor from this mod. Even with a crazy cybernetically upgraded pawn.How are you expected to carry it all?

The stellar shotguns have about 5x the dps of the second highest dps stellar weapon and the pistols have a higher dps than the stellar rifle even though they cost less.

Thank you very much! I hope you can add more recipes compatible with the new items from versions 1.4 and 1.5.

It should be possible, yes. I'll try to look into how, since I don't want to just add the recipe.

Would it be possible to implement new recipes compatible with version 1.5 for Utopia Devices and other similar equipment? For example: Transcendent Capsules, Slumber Expansion Serum, and some items from the Phenomenon DLC?

@Matathias Thanks for this, I'll look into it.

@DreadNog You can get them rarely from traders, or you can sometimes get them from ancient dangers.
If you can, try to trade with imperial settlements, they can have them.
@Get Donked On I will

@Matathias thanks for suggestion.

Another question. how to get parts for The Call of Cosmos ?
Matathias Mar 30 @ 10:40pm
@DreadNog The Cosmic Manipulator does indeed take ages to make anything, even with high-speed pawns. Not sure if it's intentional on the devs' part, but it looks like many of the recipes are missing a workSpeedStat. Namely, the recipes in the SNS_Recipe_PinnacleFabricator.xml have a workSpeedStat, but I don't think any of the others do. For those that don't, you can add

<workSpeedStat>GeneralLaborSpeed</workSpeedStat>

right after any lines that say <workSkill>*something*</workSkill>. You can find the recipe definitions in the RecipeDefs folder in the mod directory.

Hello, having problem with Cosmic manipulator. Everything takes few days just to craft 1 item. Skill level seems does not increase speed too...
