How to install TruckersMP & ProMods

Welcome to this guide, where I will show you how to install TruckersMP and ProMods.

TruckersMP is a mod for Euro Truck Simulator 2 (ETS2) and American Truck Simulator (ATS) that enables multiplayer gameplay, allowing players to drive together in a shared virtual world. Unlike the single-player mode of these games, TruckersMP creates an online environment where you can interact with other players, drive in real-time, and follow trucking rules and challenges.

The mod offers a social experience where players can work together or compete, plan routes, complete deliveries, and participate in events or convoy sessions. It also allows for a more dynamic and immersive experience with other players on the same roads, which adds a level of unpredictability and excitement to the game. TruckersMP also supports the use of various mods, such as ProMods, to expand the map and features within the game.

Step 1: Visit the TruckersMP Website
Go to https://truckersmp.com/

Step 2: Create an Account
Before downloading the installer, you’ll need to create an account. Click the Register button in the
top-right corner of the page.

Step 3: Download the Installer
Once registered, download the TruckersMP installer by clicking the green "Download Now" button on the homepage.

Open your Downloads folder and launch the TruckersMP installer.

Step 1: Install Updates
The installer will check for updates. This process will take approximately 10-30 seconds.

Step 2: Select the Game
Choose Euro Truck Simulator (ETS2) for this installation. The steps are the same for American Truck Simulator (ATS).

Step 3: Start Game
Once the installation is complete, you can launch the game and start playing with TruckersMP.

Step 1: Log in to TruckersMP
Enter the same login details you used to sign up on the TruckersMP website.





























Step 2: Select a Server
Choose the server you want to play on. Most players choose Simulation 1.


Check Server Status
You can view server status and additional info, such as collision settings, at the following link:

Use the Live Map
For a real-time view of players on the servers, visit the live map:
https://map.truckersmp.com/

Now we're going to install ProMods.

Important Note:
To use ProMods, you must have all map DLCs for Euro Truck Simulator 2. If you don’t have them, you’re done with this guide.

ProMods is a detailed map mod for Euro Truck Simulator 2, adding new cities, regions, and roads for you to explore. To use ProMods in TruckersMP, you need to ensure you have all the required map DLCs and follow the steps below.

Required DLCs for ProMods
To use ProMods, you must own all map expansion DLCs for Euro Truck Simulator 2, such as:

- Going East!
- Scandinavia
- Vive la France!
- Italia
- Beyond the Baltic Sea
- Road to the Black Sea
- Iberia
- West Balkans (if applicable)

If you don’t own all of these DLCs, ProMods won’t work for you.

Step 1: Visit the ProMods Website
Go to https://promods.net/index.php

Step 2: Create an Account
You’ll need to create an account before you can download the mod files. Click the Register button in the top-right corner of the page.

Download the ProMods Files
Once you've created an account, you can download the ProMods Europe mod. You also have the option to download the other two mods—The Great Steppe and Middle East—but these are optional and not necessary for Euro Truck Simulator 2.
Please note that these three mods are specifically for ETS2, while Canada is intended for American Truck Simulator (ATS) only.

Download ProMods Europe

On the ProMods website, click on ProMods Europe from the main page.

Step 1: Create a Def File
Select your preferred options to generate the def file.
Step 2: Proceed to the Next Step
Once you’ve created your def file, move on to Step 2 to continue the installation.

You now have the option to either download all 11 files individually or download a compressed file containing everything for 1€.

Option 1: Pay 1€ to download all files in one compressed package for faster access.

Option 2: Download all 11 files individually. This will take about an hour due to a 5-minute wait between each download

If you choose not to pay the 1€, you will be directed to a page where you’ll need to download all 11 files individually. There is also a helpful video above the links if you need additional guidance.

Tip: It’s recommended to download the "File Testing Tool" located below the 11 download links to verify the integrity of the files once downloaded

Step 1: Simply download all 11 files.

Step 1: Locate the Mod Folder
Once you’ve finished downloading all 11 files, go to the following directory:
Documents -> Euro Truck Simulator 2 -> mod
(If the mod folder doesn’t exist, create it.)

Step 2: Place the Files in the Folder
Move all the downloaded files, including the File Testing Tool, into the mod folder.

Step 3: Extract the First File
You will need to extract the first ZIP file (promods-v272) and (promods-v272-test if you downloaded the File Testing Tool). Use a program like WinRAR or 7-Zip to do this.

Step 4: Run the File Testing Tool (If downloaded)
Start the File Testing Tool to check if all the files are correctly placed in the mod folder.


Once you've run the File Testing Tool, it will check the files you’ve placed in the mod folder. If everything is correct, the tool will display a message indicating no errors were found.

This is what it will look like when the File Testing Tool finds no errors:
The highlighted files are the ones you should have in your mod folder. These are the correct files needed for the ProMods Europe mod to work.

This means all the files are properly installed, and you’re ready to proceed!

Now that everything is set up, simply launch TruckersMP, join a ProMods server, and start playing. Enjoy!
