Turtle's L'il Dragon Race

Description
Presenting, Turtle's L'il Dragon Race!
This mod adds a new playable dragon race, made possible with MrPlague's Authentic Races.
Brought into the world of Terraria as mere statues... they're now ready to break free!

These dragons are small and have lost their magical abilities, but can regain them through various items!
With their bulky frame, this race trades speed for great durability.


***** Main Traits *****
+ 30% increased max health
+ 10 increased defence
+ 10% increased damage reduction
- 20% reduced speed (affects accessory speed changes, too)
- Reduced jump force

***** Other Traits *****
+ Greatly improved acceleration.
~ Non-minecart mounts act like transformations, hiding your character. Items can still be used.
- Wider hitbox. You can still fit into a 2 block gap. Hitbox is reverted to normal while mounted.
- Starts petrified for a few seconds, but only once (this is just for flavour!)
* Crouch by holding DOWN.
* Can be mounted by others, granting resistance to the rider.

***** About Mounting *****
To mount a dragon player, simply [INTERACT] with them while standing near. Press [JUMP] to dismount.
Only non-dragon players can mount dragon players. Server configs exist to change this behaviour.

***** About Elemental Breath *****
Make the Dragon Breath Bench with 10 obsidian! You'll then need 3 of either Ruby, Sapphire, Topaz or Emerald gems.

Craft Breath Power Gems using milestone materials (eg. Demonite/Crimtane) to raise the breath attack damage.
Using the same Breath Power Gem twice has no effect, so you'll need to make stronger power gems to boost your breath attack further.

Once unlocked, use elemental breath by holding [PRIMARY RACIAL SKILL], Z by default.
Using elemental breath for too long will exhaust the dragon, causing breath attacks to become weaker.
Your dragon's eye will start closing to indicate that you need to rest for a bit.

***** Custom Vanities *****
Dragons can make a special Dragon Vanity Bench with 10 wood.
The bench can be used to craft a variety of items made to fit on dragons! More are being added with time.
When crafting these vanity items, materials will not be consumed. Craft as much as you need!

***** Additional Notes *****
- Highly configurable. Want dragons that are fireproof? Hydrophobic? Slower? Faster? We've got that and more.
- Wings are not innate! You still need to get wings normally.
- Some accessory layers are hidden, as they don't fit properly.
- Leg and torso armour won't show unless it's specifically made for dragons.
- This mod acts as a library for other similar mods that I make and is often a dependency for that reason.

@Flow, I managed to reproduce what I believe is the same error from the information provided, and a fix is published in the latest version with more defensive measures when loading custom save data. Please let me know if the issue is resolved.

This error intrigues me… I’ve never had any issues with my other characters during testing.
Are you able to provide the entire error log? Perhaps in a discussion thread if it won’t fit in a comment?
And one other thing is to make sure the mod is up to date (although I suspect this particular error isn’t to do with an outdated mod).

Not sure if this is just me, but the mod seems to be creating an (Unknown Error) for another of my characters from mr plague's authentic races. Particularly noting: (type=System.Object.entry ="dragonHandOnEquipped" = nulll). As well as several other error lines, the character (a kobold) only loading correctly when lil dragons is disabled

I would suggest you get the Recipe Browser mod and use that to see all of the dragon mod items. You can filter recipes by mod, so it should be easy to get all of them. I can’t really think of any other sane way to list all of the compatible armours and items.

it would be nice if there was some way to see all the current supported armors and accessories for this and the big dragons, you update this mod so fast it's hard to keep up with the change logs! XD
