Controller deadzone fix
By Zardoz Xerxes
I was playing NMS with a joystick via UCR and I noticed that when I was flying I the inner deadzone was about half of the stick movement. I tested the controller in steam settings and it was fine, I went looking online and found many others complaining about the deadzone.

It seems that this game ignores steam's deadzone settings (ironic as it requires you to configure controllers via steam input), here is a fix.

NMS Deadzone fix
You can also do this if you are suffering drift and changing the deadzone in steam controller settings is not affecting it.

!!!! BACKUP ANY FILES BEFORE YOU CHANGE THEM !!!!

Right click on the game in the Steam library and select "Properties".
Click on "Installed files".
Click "Browse".
Go into the folder "No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA\INPUT".
You will find a bunch of .vdf files here.
Open the relevant .vdf file (eg controller_xboxone.vdf) with a program like notepad+
Search for "deadzone" or "deadzone_inner_radius"
Change the number that follows it, lower it to reduce the deadzone, raise it if you have drift.
Save the file and close the program.
You have now entered the deadzone!

I would advise against changing "deadzone_outer_radius" as this may have an adverse effect.

Sadly I don't see any files here for VR, if you dont like the VR controls you can always use a controller or a joystick with UCR.
