Glad to get that clarified. I also imagine that HG will fix it somewhat soon. Although things function correctly, it's definitely a source of confusion.

Got on my old save and it also has he red print bug. I imagine HG will fix that soonish. Works ok just highlighted print is goofy. Glad I checked tho. Thanks for the heads up.

I now think that this is a bug because screenshot #2 shows that even collecting two items, one remained with red text in the price and the other remained in white text as the price, though updated with “out of stock.” I submitted all of these screenshots in my bug report.

Donations would be the same. If you have stuff in your inventory to give them but have not turned over - white.
Don't have in inventory but they would like to get - red.

Red means you already took all you can. White means you haven't taken the items you are entitled to.
