The Paladin series are the enforcers of the HDI military branch. The strike frigate, though small, is equipped with 4 railguns in a cluster and 5 turrets of various types.

The 001, as its number suggests, is the first of its line and while the oldest in the paladin series of its class, has managed to pull through up to date. Having been involved in fewer conflicts than others of its class, the 001 has been dubbed 'Little Lucky' by it crew since it always manages to avoid significant damage, even if in the middle of a battle. While that may be an unofficial designation, it is a common one used for the vessel outside official reports.

Full docking ports on each side allows the ship to dock pretty much anywhere as needed, its small size allowing it to easily use civilian ports to free up dedicated military ports.

Crew capacity of up to 3 as needed long term, the Strike Frigate is great for patrols, escorts, and fleet bolstering. It is also able to operate in atmosphere for a limited time, although it is a space oriented ship.

The Paladin Series is a clandestine military force developed, staffed, and funded by HDI. Protecting HDI interests, serving as a last resort force for the AUC (unofficially), and frequently spotted over Pertam and its moon; the Paladin Series is something of a shadow force within Artemis. Presently, almost no civilians are aware of its existence.
