Description
The Shedim III-A class Corvette takes the firepower of the -II to a new level. Still extremely nimble, punchy, and, especially for a light armored ship, surprisingly durable due to blast block reinforcement throughout. Even less expensive in PCU than her predecessor, at 10,000 PCU, with a jump drive, she is nonetheless equipped with a fully modded and full sized refinery, assemblers, large cargo, and several small cargo containers allowing her to build what she needs on the go, wherever she goes. She also has a survival kit, cryotube, creature comforts, and a high visibility self-repair projection array.

Armed with four Artillery Cannons, four Gatling turrets, four Assault Cannon turrets, and four smaller interior turrets. Intended to support larger ships in the fleet and focus on dispatching fighters, drones, and enemy corvettes, she is nonetheless capable of inflicting harm on larger prey. In fact, she is a vicious packhunter due to her tight Artillery cluster, and in a group of two or three can bring down far larger prey. True to her role, however, she is no tank, and must rely on her superior mobility to avoid taking damage.

A jump range of over 3700 KM means she can also make for a long range scout, and an ore detector provides mineral information back to friendly assets. Primarily driven by hydrogen thrust, she has limited ion thrusters to provide emergency power in case of hydrogen failure. However, her thrust output is impressive enough that she can easily operate in over twice Earth gravity, and her hydrogen reserves are, in a word, "tremendous."

In addition to her firepower update, several of her conveyors were optimized and reinforced. Access is no longer via the belly ramp, and instead a concealed ladder takes you into the atrium, making it even more difficult to board her by force. Software loaded onto her computers provides for enhanced artificial horizons, functional LCD, automatic doors, a RADAR system, and a damage display.
