How to play Minecraft Bedrock in VR!

This tutorial has only been tested on Windows OS.

Read Me:

This guide requires to buy Minecraft Bedrock on minecraft.net, and a Microsoft account to buy it with.

Step 1.

Create a shortcut on your desktop.

Step 2.

Make the location of the item "minecraft://Mode/?OpenXR=true".

Step 3.

Click "Next" then name the shortcut Minecraft VR (It really doesn't matter)

Step 4.

Run the shortcut while running SteamVR and you're done!

Hi @Homemade Mashed Potatoes i know it's half a year old but I'm still on haha.
I saw your comment, and I have a few ideas why it might not be working. It’s kinda long, so bear with me.

1. Set OpenXR to SteamVR
Open SteamVR → Settings → OpenXR
Ensure "Current OpenXR Runtime" is SteamVR
Restart SteamVR & launch Minecraft VR again
2. Force SteamVR to Run in Direct Mode
Open SteamVR → Settings → Video
Enable "Direct Display Mode" (under Advanced Settings)
3. Try Running SteamVR First
Start SteamVR manually before launching Minecraft VR
4. Change SteamVR Render Resolution
SteamVR Settings → Video → Set Render Resolution to Auto
5. Reinstall SteamVR & Repair Minecraft
Win+I → Apps → Installed Apps → Find Minecraft (MCBE) → Three dots → Advanced Options → Try Repair, then Reset
6. Check SteamVR Add-ons
SteamVR → Settings → Startup/Shutdown → Manage Add-ons

hey uhm i know this is like half a year old but my headset is stuck on "Up next" and I can't see the game in the headset but I do hear it and see it on my monitor, any ideas?
