Description
What is this?
This mod fixes a long standing issue with 'the gap' of Templar and Skirmisher vanilla arms.

The Gap?
Templar Bare & Covered arms, plus Skirmisher Tactical Arms have a big gap at their forearms where the Shard Gauntlet and Ripjacks sit on the arms. In unmodded gameplay, this is something that doesn't matter, as there is no way to see this gap. However, various mods change this behaviour;
  1. All Armour Avenger and Wear Armour on the Avenger (for WotC) both allow a soldier's full customisation to show on the Avenger anthill, with weapons unequipped
  2. One Handed PsiJacks and One Handed Templar both offer alternatives to the Shard Gauntlets, which leave at least one of the arms uncovered.

This results in what has come to be jokingly known as them having 'Rayman hands'.

So this mod does ?
This mod replaces the above arms with new meshes that have the gap in these arms filled in, due to kitbashing with either Anarchy's Children or Reaper Tactical arms. It does this by using a config editable Archetype config that replaces the vanilla ones with the new ones. It also replaces my own low quality "Templar Arms (Full)" in the All Armour Avenger mod.

Cosmetic Options
The new Covered Templar arms are also offered in 2 additional variants, with a Primary tint + Secondary emissive, both with and without the Psionic veins on the exposed forearm skin. These arms, plus the new Covered Templar arms are also made available to normal XCOM Soldiers at all armour tiers.

All arm variants/replacements are for both Males and Females.

This mod has been cooked.

the fix is a hard replacer the slider is only for the optional extra ones
Lux Manifestus Sep 21, 2024 @ 9:43am
So the slider should be set at max to 'fix' this issue of gaped arms? Or does it not matter?
Ray Sep 16, 2024 @ 10:44am
Sounds good, I'll check them out

if you like the lighting effects, you'll like my earlier cosmetic mods - modular xcom hero suits and emissive faction augments
Ray Sep 16, 2024 @ 10:41am
Sweet thanks for letting me know, the lightning effects are very cool

@ray no it's so small it's insignificant to performance
Ray Sep 16, 2024 @ 7:04am
Is there any noticeable performance hits if I choose the arm with psi effects?
Ray Sep 5, 2024 @ 11:21pm
Got it thanks for the reply

The slider is the chance that *random created* units will use this cosmetic. Where the slider sits is purely user optional.

Sorry to ask but is this the mod that has the slider called full templar arms? seems likely but wanted to ask should I put the slider to max or is it fine leaving it at 0, which is usually what I do with the rest of my customization mod anyways
