Q.O.L. 3000

Q.O.L. 3000 is - big surprise - yet another quality of life mod. Why '3000'? Because you've probably seen that many quality of life mods by now.
Anyways, this mod in particular is mostly a mish-mash of QoL features I've seen in other mods, tailored to suit my personal preferences. I've also tried to keep the mod as loyal to vanilla balancing and design as possible, but given the nature of QoL it isn't possible to perfectly maintain balancing.

Every single feature in this mod can be toggled and/or adjusted to suit your perfences; don't like something I added? Just disable it in the config, easy as that. Wherever possible, I've even made it so that individual players can independly configure (some, but not all) features on their client.
Below is a list of this mod's features. Those which can be customized per-client have been marked with a *;

Item Accessbility
  • Demolitionist sells Extractionator: Self-explanatory
  • Orange Zapinator downgrade: Orange Zapinator shimmers/transmutes into the Gray Zapinator
  • Extra Snow Globe drop: The Snow Globe can rarely now drop out-of-season, from enemies in the Snow biome
  • Merchant sells Recall/Wormhole: The Merchant can sell Recall and Wormhole Potions if some are in your inventory
Item Buffs
  • Glowy tiles*: Life Crystals, Life Fruits, and Mana Crystals emit light
  • Potent Life Cystals/Fruits*: Double the potency of Life Crystals and/or Life Fruits
  • Discount from inventory*: Discount Card's discount now works from your inventory, like info accessories
  • Passive accessories from banks*: Info accessories can now confer effects from all personal storages (Piggy Bank, Safe, etc.)
New Items
  • Sun Compass: Tool which points the way to the Jungle Temple. Sold by the Witch Doctor
  • Suspicious Looking Bulb: Manual summon for Plantera. Made from Rosy Petals, which drop from Plantera and her bulbs
  • Lost Nimbus: Manual summon for rain. Dropped by enemies during rain, or fished up in space
  • Living Cyclone: Manual summon for windy days. Dropped by enemies during high wind, or crafted
  • Sandstorm Slab: Manual summon for sandstorms. Dropped by enemies in the Underground Desert or during sandstorms
  • Club Goblin Card*: Kill the Goblin Tinkerer for this accessory, which provides a discount on reforg costs
  • Gold Credit: Tinker of Club Goblin Card and Discount Card. Can be set to be inherited by Greedy Ring
Awareness
  • Event awareness*: New status messages for when various events start or end, including weather, lantern nights, and more
  • Permanent upgrade awareness*: Adds tooltips to permanent upgrade items to tell you when you've used them
  • Low HP awareness*: Your player and health bar pulse red when at low HP
  • Healing awareness*: Visual and sound cues will occur when Potion Sickness wears off
NPC/Enemy Tweaks
  • Larva safety: Makes it so that Larva must be mined to break them; no more accidental Queen Bee encounters
  • Boss zen: 90% lower spwan rates during boss fights. Also disables Harpy and Wyvern spawns during Pumpkin/Frost Moons
  • No Antlion/Snow Balla griefing: Antlion and Snow Ball projectiles no longer place sand/snow blocks
  • Bound NPC safety: Make NPCs in need of rescue immune to hostiles' attacks
  • Critter safety: Make critters immune to hostiles' attacks
  • Tough Town NPCs: Increase Town NPCs' max life and life regen
  • Pet safety: Make Town Pets immune to hostiles' attacks
Etc
  • Short Respawns*: Customize respawn times outside of boss fights
  • Auto-join Teams*: Choose a team to automatically join whenever you enter a world

Note that not all features are on by default. Be sure to check out the config (Both Server and Client) before starting to play with the mod!

  • This mod is open-source under the GNU GPLv3 license. In short, you're allowed to view and utilize code from the source if you'd like, but if you want to publish any work you did with it, that project will have to use the same license (GNU GPLv3). The mod's LICENSE file contains the full details of terms and conditions, etc.
  • You can access the source-code using tML's extract function (Found in-game on the mod's More Info page in your Mods List).

Localization
This mod inherently supports the English language, though I am unable to provide any other languages since that's the only one I'm fluent in. However, localization contributions on GitHub are welcomed and appreciated. Below is a list of supported languages so far:
  • English (Base)

If you desire to contribute localization, please make a PR in the GitHub repository for my mods' .tmod files[github.com].

So good!

@Vakey, are you familiar with the Enchanted Moondial [terraria.wiki.gg]? It kinda already fills the role of an upgraded Sundial, since it can stack with the Sundial (They have independent cooldowns). Sleeping in beds accelerates time by x5, allowing Sun/Moondials to be used more often, too.

A suggestion I would have would be something like an upgrade to the Enchanted Sundial :) The one per week limit makes the entire sundial kind of useless for me so that would be great (and it would only enhance a Vanilla item)

@Drakhuze, sorry but I'm against having infinite potions in this mod, I'd like to keep it relatively vanilla friendly and I feel infinite potions are too OP in light of that.

Sorry if i mention other mod, i really like what u have put here but can you add where you can make potion infinite with 30 stacks? and put it in custom inventory like potion bag in Quality of Terraria

@Korby, thanks for catching that typo. I'll release a patch correcting it soon.

@Volcanis, I'm not exactly keen on the wholesale removal of content...
Sure, cobwebs can be a nuisance when trying to explore caves, but there are plenty of weapons that can clear them out easily, such as swords and (especially) whips. If you don't like them taking up inventory space I'd suggest using the Auto Trash mod.
Volcanis Jun 7 @ 5:58pm
Can you add an option to remove that annoying cobweb from generating in a world and instead add buyable fancy or coloured beds,i'm sick of my inventory filling up from cobweb
Korby Jun 7 @ 5:20pm
The word 'fierce' is misspelled 'firece' in the notification message that windy weather is ending.
BlockCrusader  [author] Jun 7 @ 7:55am
@Volcanis, uh, go ahead? You don't really need to ask permission to make a suggestion, I just decide if I want it in the mod or not.
