Description
This mod is marked as obsolete and will not be updated until B42 release or later. Feel free to use the progress made so far to continue it.

* Important Notice
When using with Standardized Vehicle Upgrades, disable Standardized Vehicle Upgrades - Vanilla (StandardizedVehicleUpgradesV) submod, otherwise the tires of the vehicles spawned in vehicle stories would disappear.
Don't panic! The tires will reappear once you disable the vanilla upgrade submod.
Thanks to Vanh and Jackal326 for the heads up!

The submod, [STFR Patch] is the temporary compatibility patch for STFR. STFR is not a required dependency.

An updated version of allanzoka's mod Vanilla Vehicle Scenes Replacer (KI5), which replaces vanilla vehicles in vehicle stories, such as police blockade, ambulance crash by KI5's.

Due to the original mod's hardcoded solution of replacing these vehicles, No Vanilla Vehicles mod is highly recommended to prevent spawning too many special purpose vehicles.

* Changes from original
  • Fixed missing light bar model of '92 CVPI due to KI5 mod update.
  • Fixed missing loot tables of all replaced vehicles. Items in the trunk, glove box, or other containers on vehicles can now spawn properly.
  • Fixed display name of vehicles spawned in vehicle stories.
  • Fixed missing corresponding vehicle diagrams in mechanic menu.

* Known Issues
  • Adding this mod mid-game will cause replaced vehicles not to have tires in already generated vehicle stories. This is unavoidable until a better alternative solution is found.
  • May not be compatible with mods that modify vanilla vehicles, such as Standardized Vehicle Upgrades.

* Conflicting mods

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2623855083 - LEGACY (don't get it confused cause of its title lol)

There's 2 versions. Rewrite and legacy. :)

STFR patch link? i dont see it anywhere

It seems the STFR patch cannot be activated against the new STFR build, it actually DOES force STFR as a pre-req. (Now you're supposed to use STFRCore and STFRMain) Is everyone just using the old STFR version?

You've already done more than enough work, this was a great mod and work

I hear you, sorry for the timing. Unfortunately, as I mentioned before, the current method of replacing vehicles isn’t ideal—it essentially uses KI5 vehicles’ data to directly overwrite all the vanilla vehicles' data.

Theoretically, this shouldn’t cause major issues, but it’s still not a great idea to permanently change vanilla data. Additionally, it’s a troublesome solution because every time KI5’s mod has major structure updates, the mod has to be rewritten. I don't have much energy to pay attention to every KI5 mod's update, rewrite this mod and debug it repeatedly, so I leave it be for now.

The most ideal solution would be to replace the vehicles generated in vehicle stories directly with KI5 vehicles without altering or replacing any vanilla content. However, this mechanism seems to be hardcoded—or perhaps I simply couldn’t figure it out, as I’m not particularly skilled with Java or Lua.
