Inanis - Grimalkin

Description
Grimalkin are a new species to the galactic stage, having been accidentally uplifted by a unknown race who simply wanted a creature to act as the equivalent to a ship cat (Hence the name Grimalkin). What that race didn't realise was this species was on the cusp of Sapience, something hastened by their new existance on board technology-filled space ships.

Quickly becoming a fully fledged sapient species, Grimalkin were thankfully happy wih their new lot in life, hunting down intruders and space vermin in exchange for a free stay in any space ship and station they see fit by making nests in out of the way places. As part of local shipping regulations it is always advisable to have a properly filled in crew manifest, left the Grimalkin decide to deal with an undocumented ship passenger like a Ship Cats of old!

Don't be fooled by their quadrepedal form, they're as intelligent as any biped (some Grimalkin claim more so) and many of them have become quite at home with the modern comforts technology, fine food and grooming parlours bring!

Features:

- Grimalkin are large fast creatures who can fit in surprisingly small maintinence tubes, and with it are excellent for hunting down dangers and pests around your colony!

- Grimalkin visitors and merchants can make themselves known, some in pairs and others in notable packs!

Feature Wish List:

- In lore Grimalkin paws cannot manipulate technology until they have surgery to make their paw digits more flexible. They also cannot speak until tight vocal chords and losotened to allow such (or a voice collar is worn). Sadly I can't get this working in pure XML yet, and do not know C#.

- Some Grimalkin are very much body purists, considering themselves technically above the bipeds they "look after" and who "serve" them (maintain the ships/stations). Others are very much wishing to adjust their bodies and improve themselves to fit in with the space age. In theory this might become part of an Idology in the future.

I'm not too well versed with mod making so if there are any bugs or I missed something out, please feel free to make a discussion (or even just a comment) and I'll see what I can do about fixing it!

Built upon the Humanoid Alien Races 2.0 mod. Put this mod below it in the mod order list (Should auto-sort). This mod shouldn't conflict with any other mod, if it does please let me know.

All Grimalkin artwork and graphics were made by either Timor or Tea Spot.

If you like this mod, and/or would like to help me make more mods like this, please consider dropping a donation at the Pedetes Productions Ko-Fi! It all goes towards commissioning more art/graphics from Timor, as well as getting me more cups of the tea I drink to survive~!

Thank you Rubinelle! I am tinkering with an updated version of the mod that was close to publishing before work ate all my spare time that actually does this, so it is indeed in the works! <3

This si a great mod. IS there any chance of getting some extra fur patterns/colors in the future?

@Jollytjerry11: Haha, thanks! It's probably best not to let them know you think so... they might take advantage!

@Hoddroc:
Your wish is my command, added! The 1.4 version of the mod is an old incomplete port from the Springhare mod that was near complete when RimWorld 1.5 released. It should work well, but there will be some holdover code from Springhares (such as the backstories, names etc).

@Comito:
Still working on this, but so far no joy. If I can find a way to have the bodies visible I'll add it. Won't look as good as humanoids in the bed, but the comical flopping of a Grimalkin on a small bed might outweigh that downside!

@Dr. Jennifer Dogna:
Turns out the XML Extensions issue was a wider problem with the XMP Extensions and Humanoid Alien Races mods (Looking at the comments). If you have HAR loaded after XML Extensions, apparently it resolves the problem.
Slaver resources have now been added, managed to get Grimalkin slavers with slaves, and other faction slavers rarely with Grimalkin slaves!

id like to use this race with the previous 1.4 as well as 1.5

Is there any way around them not having bodies when sleeping in normal beds?
