Backstory

Thousands of years ago, the fungi were created as a slave race. The scientists engineered a species capable of reproduction akin to humans but with mushroom-like growth capabilities. They possessed the peculiar trait of hating sunlight, making them ideal for toiling in the dark mines as slaves.

Fungi, resembling humans with mushroom characteristics, were the result. However, there existed a failed version of them: the shroomans. These abominations resembled mushrooms but had human-like features, possessing the ability to talk, think, and feel pain. They were discovered to be filled with human meat and organs, growing at an alarming rate.

The sadistic scientists found a new source of sustenance in the shroomans, prolonging the life expectancy of the fungi, who typically lived for only 15 years. Despite their belief that the fungi would never mature enough to consider rebellion, the scientists were proven wrong. The fungi, aware of the shroomans' origins and armed with stolen chemicals, orchestrated a revolt during the CEO's visit.

Turning humans into shroomans, the fungi vowed eternal suffering upon their oppressors. They escaped aboard automatic transport ships, dispersing to unknown planets, spawning different variants of themselves. Few are aware of their existence today.

Some tribes of fungi were discovered on different planets in the outer rim, having degenerated over millennia. Lacking the knowledge to operate advanced technology, they harbored only deep-seated hatred for humanity, though the origins of this enmity had faded from memory. Tribal and fragmented, they struggled to recall their former capabilities, driven solely by their animosity towards their creators.

Characteristics

-They exhibit absolute xenophobia towards humans, showing little regard for inflicting harm, especially if the human is from outside their colony.

-They can consume humanoid meat without experiencing negative effects, with cannibal buffs only manifesting in specific circumstances.

-The Fungi prioritize organ harvesting from prisoners as a resource for crafting weapons, displaying a callous disregard for their victims.

-As a result of their tribal regression, they have no qualms about nudity.
They are particularly susceptible to cold temperatures.

-Working during the daytime significantly dampens their mood, but they experience considerable boosts when working during the night.

-They employ wormoids for handling menial tasks during the day.

To do:
-More stuff!

Known issues:
Dont let the turrets which take take humans as ammunition be refueled by a human pawn. The pawn will disappear and the game will freeze. You can toggle off the automatic refuel if you have a human in your colony.
Every race except humans is fine.

I didnt experience any incompability, if you discover one , tell me ! Same for bugs!
