If you're looking to change the music to your own custom music, though, there isn't a way to do that to my knowledge.

@SAB64: how's the 3D importer in WPE doing today? I played around with it a long time ago and it did not meet my quality standards so I went back to scene wallpapers and rendered image- or video textures. My path tracer delivered the quality that 3D WPE lacked for a long time.
I like what you've done so far! I think the Link's Awakening one is my favorite of the bunch.
The most I could suggest for now is to experiment with movement. The original Paper Mario has a lot of good sprites you can use to try out some simple animations.
Even if you only make a simple wallpaper with Mario and a partner or two walking across a looping scene, that'll look really nice and you can build on that. If you experiment with the different features in Wallpaper Engine, you'll definitely improve over time
