Post Flag

Description
Overview
Raise or lower the post flag depending on the contents of the post inside.
Confirmed to work with Build 41/42.

Features :
If there are items inside, the post flag will stand.

If there are no items inside, the post flag will remain lowered.

In the case of Mid-Save, a post on a map that has already been loaded is displayed with the flag down, regardless of whether there are items inside or not. In this case, moving the item in the container will return it to the normal display.

Known Issues :
  • There was a bug where, if a flagged post was destroyed by a vehicle, both the original graphic and the destroyed graphic would remain. This bug has already been fixed, but in saves from before the fix, flagged posts may still appear this way.

    In such cases, you can remove the original graphic by taking items out of the destroyed post.

Future plans :
  • Nothing

Remarks :
  • This mod requires that "DISPLAY > Textures > Double-sized Textures" in GAME OPTIONS is ON. If this option is OFF, the correct size will not be displayed. I don't plan to support this option now, but I will consider it if there are enough requests.
  • I know the original meaning of the post flag is "There is mail to be delivered", but in this mod, I used this flag to easily identify the contents of the mailbox.

Release Notes :
  • v1.3 - Compatible with Build 42.
  • v1.2 - Fixed for remaining graphics.
  • v1.1 - Temporary fix for remaining graphics.
  • v1.0 - New release.

Sorry for the late reply, I've been working on B42 support ever since the unstable version was released! X(

@Shovelmaster88
You are welcome, I hope this mod will continue to be useful to you.

@Viper
Yes, Aza's Flags has a problem with the texturepack of sprites, and there is nothing we can do about it unless we address it on the AF side. Let's hope it will be improved.

i love this mod but dangit, some of my map mods require Aza's Flags, so I can't use it. Bummer!

Thank you for the supplemental information.

@Shovelmaster88
I checked the Build 42 implementation and it does not seem to include the same features as this mod. Therefore, I have uploaded a Build 42 compatible version of this mod.

B42 already has this feature :) 07

@OwOstrich

This mod is outdated and has so much conflict there is much other mods that add flags like building menu ect

@OwOstrich
Thanks for the report, I tried it and I could see the conflict in my environment, and after looking at the contents of Aza's Flags, it seems that the post texture images are being overwritten excessively, and this mod can't handle it. There seems to be no way to resolve this conflict at this time (by properly modifying the texturepacks on the Aza's Flags side), sorry.

this mod seems to, for whatever reason, have a conflict with Aza's Flags

when Aza's Flags was installed along with Post Flag, all mailboxes had their post flags up regardless of whether they had an item or not. upon uninstallation of Aza's Flags, Post Flag works as intended.

if anyone else can test and confirm (in case it's just on my end) that would be great.
