TMP NX-2000 USS Excelsior

"Friends, the great experiment: The Excelsior." -James Kirk

This is the USS Excelsior NX-2000, as seen in Star trek: The Search for Spock/ The Voyage Home/ The Final Frontier. The NX Designation represents the fact that this is the prototype model built for Trans-Warp experimentation. When it was launched, it was the largest starship the federation had in service, and the most powerful. Its hull would lay the groundwork for a workhorse vessel that would serve Starfleet for 100 years. Seeing as this is the prototype variant, it does not reflect the design or load-out of the later Excelsior vessels, and also does not reflect the ship under Sulu's command in Star Trek VI.

This ship contains:

Hydrogen Thrusters for movement.
1 Spots for shuttle craft in the shuttle bay.
a mostly complete interior, with future updates to come.
A cargo bay.
Batteries and reactors.
Full refining and assembling capabilities.
AI control capacity.
A main engineering section reminiscent of the one from the films.

Update (19th of June, 2025): Connectors have been installed on the nacelles for refueling.

*(mostly; The med room won't be installed until Tuesday-- that's a common delay in this class).
