This is the second bonus mod that expands the race of the creatures featured in my artwork in the Steam Workshop. The mod itself does not add any new genes, the xenotype uses materials from the Vanilla Races Expanded series.

Brief Description

The Murk is a specialized subspecies of the Kotik race, an artificially created race of warriors. Extremely effective in combat, but almost completely useless in everyday life. The genotype is shown in the screenshot.

If you have the Vanilla Factions Expanded - Pirates mod installed, the Murks will be added to the mercenary faction (as well as the rest of the Kotiks).

The Murk is a subspecies of the Kotik race, even more adapted to warfare. Unfortunately, it is weak in all other respects.

The Murk have all the advantages of the Kotiks, plus they are bigger, stronger, and tougher. In close combat, these cute big guys are real monsters. At the same time, they have all the disadvantages of the Kotiks. Moreover, Murks can only fight, they are very bad at almost all other activities (during the ancient wars, all the chores were assigned to universal Kotiks, and Murks were used only in battles).

The only thing they are still good at is talking. Murks love to brag about their battle exploits and compose entire poems about their own adventures. Despite all their bloodthirstiness, they are very good-natured creatures. They are not particularly intelligent, but sincerely love their tribesmen (but do not make them angry, an insulted Murk can easily kill the offender).

The ancient creators of the Murk did not want this effect at all, originally they designed soulless killing machines. But genetic engineering is a tricky thing. It turned out to be what it turned out to be. Time was running out (the war was nearing its apotheosis) and the Murks were released on the battlefield, where they proved themselves perfectly. It was because of the Murks' unrivaled fighting skills and their dedication that the Kotiks race was able to survive. In the final hours of their home planet's existence, they wrested from their overlords the spaceships on which the Kotiks were able to escape.
