Description
[ENG]

Now, this one. This one is a history lesson. You know how they say that the Europa Coalition was born out of a trade agreement between two of the largest settlements? One of the first things to come out of that trade, the combined efforts of basically the entirety of Europan society, was this submarine. It was this submarine that launched the first shells in the wars against piracy, it was this submarine that established the trade routes that we still travel through. The whole industry, the entire world of the Europan naval arts, began here. All there was before this were the rotting cans left over from the NASA days, this was the first ship designed, built, and operated all in this moon.

Now, with all this hyped up intro that I totally wasn't just reading off a script, why the hell would I sell you a historical relic like this as your first sub? Well, because it's an old-timey piece of junk, duh. There's thousands of these still stumbling into the Abyss, it's not a collectible. Yeah, this was cutting edge technology of the 21st century, but today this is antiquated at best.

So, some warnings before you pilot this about operating all this moldy tech. This lad's carrying one of the super old prototype reactors, a sorta ancestor of the stuff we use now in outposts. It's bulky, it's unwieldy, and I'm pretty sure it's leaking radiation. We haven't had a lot of incidents regarding that, but I'd stay away from the reactor. It's closed off with a pretty serious hatch that needs 2 people to open, and you can operate it on the terminal in the room above, if you need to. Since back then they were scared ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of these things blowing up or not working or whatever, there's also a backup diesel generator in the back. I recommend using it sparingly. If you need to put some more juice into the power grid, like when you're starting up the engine or whatnot, turn it on for a bit, but turn it off after. Gas is so obsolete you're gonna have a hard time finding any.

The guns are pretty lacking, 2 of the old models of coilgun, they turn slow, they shoot slow, the only thing they're fast at is draining your supercapacitors, but for a first ship that sounds fine to me. You'll upgrade it later anyways, that's how you get this sub to shine. There's also a couple of ancient torpedo tubes at the front. They have to be launched via the button right next to the loader, but we had the mercy to put a little camera in there so you can better coordinate with the poor assistants doing on when to fire.

What else, what else... Ah, the navigation terminal. This model is from way before they started placing the interfaces more ergonomically, so all the buttons for launching depth charges or discharging the coils or overriding the reactor doors are in the other side of the command room. Best to get yourself an assistant for that so you don't have to walk all the way there everytime.

Aaaaaand I think that's it. That's basically all you need to know on how to pilot this thing. If you have any questions, ponder about them in the shower. Alright? Alright.

Dale? Dale.

i would like that yeah, i don't think im going to use dynamic until i finish this campaign but also this submarine looks cool as hell and i want to use it soon

a few items in the sub are assets from dynamic europa. i'm, however, thinking of supplanting them for a similar-looking assembly because DE being a requirement is indeed a bit unreasonable

is dynamic europe *required* required or is it just there because its a cool mod question mark

also if the description is true this might be the first submarine ive ever seen that used the diesel generator so this could be fun

That would be great

haha, yeah. im too big a sucker for the decorative options the mods i have give me, but if i feel like it i'll make vanilla versions of these subs, or new subs entirely. i'll see how i feel

The submarine needs mods :(
