Description
My Father passed away in November 2023 (when I last updated the map) and I've decided I'm no longer going to update it as my priorities have changed. Map isn't great, but hopefully some of you still enjoy it. Thanks for playing.

Based loosely on Northeastern Libya. This is a major WORK IN PROGRESS, but I wanted to get it uploaded. This map is the definition of AMATEUR.. Like, super amateur, Okay? You've been warned, please check your expectations. Even if I never end up finishing it, hopefully somebody can have some fun with it. There are a few towns/POI's on the map that are definitely usable, but plenty more will be added over time. Large expanses of empty desert. Not everything is marked on the map - only the two major towns. you might have to zoom to find villages, bases, etc. Once I figure out how I can add more markers some of these will be marked.

Terrain was originally generated with GameRealisticMap Studio and it is in the process of being improved through use of the eden editor. I will continue to update as I work and leave notes most of the time to detail what I've done, and I will update it after every change so that there will be no long waiting periods. Expect plenty of change logs. As I continue to change things, I likely won't update all the preview screenshots, but if something is drastic enough I may take new pictures.

NOTE: Sometimes when generating the map after making changes, I've noticed newly placed items sometimes whack out of place. For example, I place a wall in the ground, and then after I generate the map it is floating. I'll fix these things as I go along, but I don't know why it happens - I promise you guys I'm not just putting random walls and rocks in the air.




GameRealisticMap Studio can be download from the Microsoft store. When I was looking for this program, I was having lots of trouble, so just thought I'd leave a little notation here just in-case there's another guy out there like me that can't find it.

@Sienihemmo I apologize for never adding a signed key, I never thought about that. Unfortunately I did not keep the files for the map, I don't have them anymore.

I hear you forsure. Terrain generation in Arma is just too complicated by default, even in Reforger it's kind of a pain in the ass (Though, better than Arma 3). We need more, better terrain creation tools and this is a step in the right direction.
