The Conqueror Class Exploration Frigate is heavily featured in COA recruitment material, promising a career of rugged adventure in the farthest reaches.

In reality, only the most well-trained and experienced crews are afforded the opportunity of flying a Conqueror Frigate into the unknown, and must survive on months-long missions far from the comfort of heavy fire support.

One such mission was the story of Captain Dumont. Brought down by a savage band of scrappers on a desolate world, Dumont and the crew of Exploration Frigate "11" were able to fully restore their vessel (and bodies) to working order after surviving four weeks with no radio contact.
Captain Dumont is currently stationed on Altiirea, training the next generations of explorers.
