Description
Anteros mining colony

Welcome engineers in our deep space colony on the planet Anteros!

Colony is self sufficient, we have materials, technology, water and mainly TRAINS !
Whole colony is connected with maglev railway system allowing us to distribute people, raw materials, final components a energy coming from our powerplant.

Be careful! Local enviroment is very dangerous!
Low oxygen, different temperatures, electric stroms, sand storms and deadly spiders.

There are few stations listed below. (their number would be bigger but I would need NASA computer)
All buildings are airtight except small grids.

Railway system is semi-automatic. There are two triangle railway switches which are full automatic and all loop at the ends of rail has automatic switches too. Manual switches are only in main train station in the centre of colony and one switch to cosmodrom.

Cosmodrom is placed inside of the mountain near the centre of colony. It hides our only one spaceship which is also semi-automatic. Just turn on timer block "launch space ship" and then trigger it. Hangar open itself and release this spaceship.

Trains:
  • Light passanger train - has front and rear locomotive and 3-4 passenger cars
  • Heavy cargo train - has larger locomotives and usually have at least 6 cargo cars
Safe speed is 80m/s, Loop speed 40m/s, cosmodrom speed 40m/s.

Cargo system is simple. Cars has merge block which allows to lock cargo containers. it means that train is completely universal and can hold lotsof different containers (closed container, containers for ores and sand, tank containers, wood, bricks, tubes, coils, cars... everything)

Passanger train doors are locked at speed above 5m/s.

When trains reach 15m/s they increase their height above railway.
All trains are controled from cockpit in locomotive by timer blocks. They set taget speed according to number on the toolbar (example: 4=40m/s, 8=80m/s, 1=stop)

  • Four housing units
  • Hangars for ground vehicles
  • Two hangars for air transportation units
  • Cosmodrom with gantry crane
  • Powerplant
  • Refinery and assembly line
  • Deepwater pumps
  • Oil pumps
  • Mining towers
  • Open side mine in mountains
  • Large antenas for planet communications

other small grids:
  • Heavy dump truck
  • Container vehicle
  • Large and small forklifts
  • Bulldozer
  • Buggys, cars and motobikes
  • Ambulance
  • Hospital aircraft
  • Heavy transport aircraft

looks pretty great but can't do much with it; like others I seem to have problems opening the doors on the train. they just jam about 5-10% open, not enough to get through

just played this the doors on the C-1 cargo are jamming when you push button i had to get in thru the hatch in the roof of the train cab on front and back locos
