ABOUT THE MAP

This map is a 1:1 recreation of Saint John, a city on the Bay of Fundy, in New Brunswick, Canada. It’s known for the Reversing Rapids, a phenomenon caused by bay tides colliding with the Saint John River.


IMPORTANT
  • SUBSCRIBE TO THE REQUIRED COLLECTION LINKED ABOVE.
  • Map consists of around 560k trees.
  • There is a sewage pipe asset placed in a swamp land which will make the swamp look muddy. Also it is connected to starting tile with pipe and powerline. Just provide power and BOOM swamp will turn muddy and your city's poop problem will also be taken care of.
  • Around 5k props used
  • Node controller, Intersection Marking Tool and TMPE are used.

@Moon Can you join the discord mentioned above and share logs and report there? The error you mentioned is pretty generic and could mean a lot of things

I haven't been able to get the map to work. Loading screen mod and Skyve aren't detecting any missing or broken assets, so I'm really not sure why it won't work. When I try and open it with the map editor, the game crashes. One of the networks in the map must be broken or missing, just not sure which one. Seems like something to do with the roads. The only mods/assets I have are the ones from the required collections

Hey @JR896, sorry for the late reply but yhe map works. You should check Skyve for compatibility report. There's no need to update the map.

This map doesn't work. It says "Simulation failed: "object reference not set to an instance of an object." I subscribed to everything in the required collection except for procedural objects since that version listed on the required collection doesn't work. Not sure if it's dependent on the old Procedural Objects and that's why this map fails to load. Hope it gets updated soon with up-to-date dependencies. This is a nice map with so much potential but it just won't load...

@Maver1cK Thank you. I learned some tricks with TMPE and used the OOC mod that you suggested and the traffic has calmed down enough to be smooth!

one bug。有一个高速出入口隐藏在迷雾中,紧挨铁路,但没有连接任何道路,进口货物进不来,导致商业区大量缺货。需要使用节点选择工具删除这个出入口,商业区恢复正常。

@HazelFawn Thank you so much! Traffic can be really bad in CS1. Now as it is a 1:1 recreation so the roads are same as irl. You can try using TMPE to control traffic. You can also use Optimised Outside Connection mod to get rid of dummy traffic that game creates to increase vehicles on highway.

This is a really beautiful map and I would love to play on it, but I am having a problem with massive amounts of traffic on the pre-build roads (maybe because they all count as highways?) I am not a very experienced player so perhaps there is a simple solution that I am missing to this? Do you have any help/suggestions or should I just make due?
