DCX_WS, DMOrchard's cDLC Crossover mod, Western Sahara

Description
What this mod does...
...It retextures and/or reconfigures vehicles from the Western Sahara cDLC and adds them to various factions from other DLCs, mods, and vanilla Arma3.

You might be wondering...
  • ...which vehicles? See the change notes.
  • ...what factions? See the change notes and the list of companion mods below.
  • ...what are the dependencies? Only the Western Sahara cDLC. Its Western Sahara - Creator DLC Compatibility Data for Non-Owners will also work, but subject to the limitations listed/linked at that page.
  • ...aren't those companion mods and other cDLCs dependencies too? No. If you load them, additional content gets added to their factions, but they are 100% optional.

Initial release (September 2023)...
This is a stand-alone port of every asset from the Western Sahara cDLC previously modded in my D2X 2035 Crossover and DCX Cold War Crossover mods. All classnames have been revised - "d2x_" prefix changed to "dcx_".

Next update...
  • Fix: modded UAV backpacks need their respective factions appended to their displaynames
  • Fix: various vehicles have crew from wrong factions
  • Fix: various vehicles have broken gunner seats
  • Fix: various vehicles have texture issues
  • Add: AA specialists to Ion & UNA factions
  • Add: AT specialists to UNA faction

Recommended companion mods...
Rather than config my own factions I've made the following mods a "soft dependency". Load them with my mod in order to have my extra faction-specific content appear in Eden/Zeus for any/all of the following...

Open to requests and feedback... within reason...
  • Share your suggestion in the comment section. If I like it, I'll slot it into my to-do list.
  • Encountering an error? If you provide the details, I'll try to fix it. Please use the "Errors" discussion.

My current mods, in active development...

My original crossover mods (development now halted)...

Special thanks go out to...
  • BI for the Arma series and the community that has grown out of it.
  • The cDLC dev teams for taking a big leap of faith, and persevering through release date and beyond to create and support such great content.
  • Creators of various companion mods for being okay with some stranger extrapolating beyond their original work, and for sharing various imagery and other input in support of my efforts.

Thanks Disco! Yes, the recent update of WS (v1.1.3) changed the hiddenSelectionsTextures of the Zamak. Should be an easy fix, and will definitely be addressed in my next update, but I have no ETA at this time.

hi dmorchard, the Blufor FIA Zamak ZU23 textures appear to be broken

Hey again, was just wondering how you went about getting your hands on workable texture files for the Iskatel? I've been tryna find them for like 2 hours now lol, if you'd be willing to lend me a hand or send me in the right direction I'd hugely appreciate it

Thanks! I had a related bug report a few weeks ago - the bag you're looking for is labeled "UAV Bag (AP-5 Bustard)" in the arsenal, according to that user. I'll be renaming it to "UAV Bag (AP-5) [CDF]" in my next update.

In a pinch, I believe you could also deploy the standard NATO AP-5 and then swap the gun manually.

Great mod and many thanks. Is it possible to add the AP-5 drone with PKM (from GM CDF 2022 crossover) to the arsenal? Right now it's only usable in some randomized missions with CDF selected, and I can't find it anywhere in the editor either, but it's very fun to use.
