Report a translation problem
Though this is on a SOS2 ship using "SOS2 Hull Pipes". Not sure if this mod accounts for that.
On random combination of ingredients I can't say much, since my mod not adjusting this in any way and just inhereting that code from VNPE. For feeders also not sure what bug.
Overall VNPE itself still have a bug how you could get infinite food from tap (just done slightly different now) and feeder code for increasing max stack size still not working.

mod order: Harmony, Core, NPD tiers, Royalty, Ideology, Biotech, VE framework, VNPE, This mod.
Place down any paste tap from this mod, connect it to power, click "extract X meals" button, meal comes out regardless of its connection to the network and meals left in the network. The paste tap from VNPE works fine.
Furthermore, if connected to a network that do have remaining meals, meals will come out with a random combination of ingredients that are present in the vat.
About whenever it a good idea as a first mod, that one maybe a bit higher in difficulty, than something more simpler. But if you understand programming well enough the only thing that will take your time is just figuring out how code work and what you need to pick from it for your idea. Patching of existing code might be a pain to figure out at start, but you might not even need it for this idea.
I have an idea for improving and adding utilities to chocolate and want to add a bunch of the VNPE buildings to the mix. A new Grinder, Pipe, Vat, Tap, and Feeder that all revolve around consuming chocolate, refining chocolate, storing refined chocolate, connecting refined chocolate buildings, and so on. Am I possibly biting off more than I can chew with this idea?
Would be my first mod, though I am a programmer.
In the end, I just want better chocolate...
