The thing is that the player, after your animation sees a small flicker before the night vision turns on. I use ACE3 Night Vision, this is probably the reason why their night vision does not have time to overlap with vanilla night vision. Screen blackout with settings (duration) would be a great solution.
Also, if you intend to polish your mod, it would be great to add the sound of hand movement. It is completely absent now, for this reason the movement is not felt.
This is actually workable, just finding the time to tweak the script. :)
