If the original author requests it, I will remove this update.

--

Removed outdated pre-req. Added pawn namer, and a chance for Slither to show up in starting colonists, wanderers, slaves, and refugees.

--

Original mod notes (1.3):

"An intelligent, bipedal reptilian creature with a mixture of human and snake-like anatomy. They have integrated almost seamlessly with human society in some parts of the galaxy."

Slithers are a playable race of anthropomorphic snakes created using the Humanoid Alien Races framework. Besides their appearance, they have been designed to be only minimally different from Human pawns, so they can be added to most colonies with little accommodation.

See the Steam Workshop page for more info.

Will this be worked on?

Well at least there's a proper explanation for it. Thanks for looking it up.

If you're comfortable editing a text file (and don't mind losing the correct colors for basic boring human skin tones), I can tell you how to remove the blacklist from the race settings for your local copy.

Ok, I've discovered the problem. Most of my race mods have all the xenotypes and genes blacklisted, HAR allows this functionality in its newer updates ... I don't want skin color or hair color genes, for example, because they override the colors I have set with HAR's color generator.

When I remove the blacklist, Prepare Carefully can save presets with Slithers. I think that Prepare Carefully does not take the blacklist into account (it is a fairly new feature in HAR) and attempts to find and save non-existent gene info to the preset. It's something that needs to be handled on their end.

I do greatly appreciate the report, but I won't be making any changes to address this at this time, because to do so would have skin/hair color genes overriding the colors I want for the races.

Hmm, interesting. Nothing off the top of my head (not really doing anything special with these races), and I don't really use Prepare Carefully anymore, but I will take a look at it.
