Sometimes I see lengthy animations when a character takes a hit to the torso (the stomach), I believe—where they slowly sink down onto their kneels and begin to sway. And only then, after 6–8 seconds, do they slowly die. During these moments, you can pump dozens of bullets into him head, but he still won't die until the animation is complete.
Please try to fix this (if, of course, it's possible). I think switching to ragdoll physics would look perfect.
No—it's turned on!
You have these "long" death animations—for example, when a character clutches their throat and staggers, slowly sinking first to one knee and then the other before finally dying. The animation lasts aprox about 6–8 seconds, and if the character continues to take bullets during this interval, the animation is never interrupted.
Basically, You can shoot him even with a tank, or empty an entire magazine into his head, but the character would still die exactly at the scheduled time — only once the animation has fully played out. Is there no way to interrupt these long death animations and switch to a ragdoll effect if the character takes subsequent hits?
It just doesn't look very realistic. Furthermore, seems to me in the past, death animations did get interrupted and switch over to ragdoll physics, it feels like this feature has disappeared in recent updates. Or perhaps some of your death animations have become longer?
