Description
Alpine Vision

The latest and last of the Alpine Marine 'V' series, the Vision is my interpretation of a 45m Offshore Support Vessel. At 45m she's pretty small for an OSV and may lack some features of say, an ALP Striker, but I think it's pretty functional in the world of Stormworks. Thanks for checking it out and I hope you can have some fun with it.

Specs
45.5 Length
12.5m Beam
4.25m Draught
Mass-70,000 approx.
Cost-500,000 approx.
Top Speed-14 knots dependant on sea conditions
Fuel Capacity-120,000* litres Diesel

* or more by utilising storage tanks

Features
-All vanilla, meaning no XML edits or physics bending exploits
-Handles like a boat to the best of my knowledge and ability (both sorely lacking probably)
-Directional E-Drive Thrusters (can switch between Main and Aft consoles)
-Waypoint Navigation 3x5 Display
-Marine Radar Display
-Depth Survey Display
-Marine Radio Display
-Emergency Beacon and Locator Display
-Weather Station Display
-ISO space for six
-Lots of fluid storage
-Cargo Deck
-Deck 'tie downs'
-Throttle by Wire and Rudders by Wire (means WASD aren't really used to operate the ship itself, it's not a speedboat...see the Notes section below though)
-Automatic Horn Signaling (in thick enough fog, the mast light will strobe and the horn will sound (every two minutes))
-Mast lights for 'Towing', 'Restricted in Ability to Manouver' and 'Not Under Command' signals
-All controls are labelled, and hopefully laid out in a manner that makes them easy enough to find and intuitive to use.
-There's manual shut off valves for most fluid lines, and breakers for electrical.  All critical ones set to ON by default so no having to find everything to get going, but you can shut it all off if you like.
-Finished (mostly) interior with...well, just go look around
-WS Descriptions on Steam have limited space but here's some other stuff you might want to know before spawning...

Start Up and Getting Underway

-On the bridge, just inside the door on your right is the 'Main Board'...turn everything on and you should get an 'all green' board after everything fires up.
-Bridge lights behind you if the emergency lighting went out
-Up front, the Navigation console on the left, ship Monitoring on the right and Captain's chair and Console in the center.
-From the Center Console, navigation and other lights can be found across the top.
-It is recommended to use the thrusters in and around the harbour for reasons.  These are the 6 Directional Arrow buttons labelled 'Maneuvering'. Generator Boost will help with electrical power during this phase
-Add throttle (min 10%) to engage the propshaft. Throttle and rudders are controlled by button inputs (but again, see Notes). These are the 4 Directional Arrow buttons just to the right.
-To turn off main engines, disengage the Powertrain and turn off the Main Engine key, etc back at the Main Board. -------Electrical breakers are in Engineering.

Refuelling
Main Fuel Tanks have direct refuelling connections in the rails port and starboard with pump controls below or can use the Fluid Handling Cranes.

Cranes
Turn on key midships, grab remote control
Channel 3 or 4
1/2: Fore / aft on the rails
3/4: Cable in / out
5: Toggle connection.
6: Spotlight
Space: Horn
WASD + LRUD

Fluid Handling
-There's 5 tanks per side, 1 for fresh water (used for list balance mostly) and 1 for fuel. The other 3 can be used for whatever you want but are set to spawn with some sea water ballast since there's no load weight on the deck.
-On and off loading might be a two man operation since controls in the Bridge and on Deck are both used but can be done by one you just have to walk back and forth a couple of times.
-There are two breakers, one at each Fluid Handling Station down on the deck for Incoming and Outgoing.
-Direct where said fluid goes to or comes from, via the Aft Bridge Panel (breakers for each on the left side of panel)
-Use of the Fluid Handling Cranes is also an option.
-This whole section might need a manual but I am hoping it's not that hard to figure out. Comment if you have troubles.

'No WASD Controls?' and other Notes
-You probably think 'WTF is there no WASD controls'? Well rest easy, you can use A/D to steer from the Captain's Chair IF you hold the Spacebar while doing so. I hated adding this, (maybe just as much as people are going to hate using buttons), but relented for convenience...it is handy for course corrections if the Nav system wants to steer through one those ocean bridges. Mostly I expect (hope) people will use the Nav system and Maneuvering Thrusters making it a non-issue.
-Also, the Nav system...only controls the steering, so you decide when it engages and can stop without clearing all the WP's if you want. I prefer this, so this is why it's like that.
-There's a Large Winch on the deck near the boarding gates hidden inside the fake one. A winch there is pretty much useless due to rope physics and so I tried to save some weight. I may change it.
-Instructions for any of the bridge systems should be found on their respective Workshop page. I will try to assist if you are still having troubles, post in comments.
-As far as I know everything is working (as good as I could get things to work) but it's entirely possible I broke something and haven't noticed. Please let me know if you find something broken or just have suggestions to make things easier to use or whatever.
-It lacks an Auto-Positioning system and some other things, but at this point but I have run out of gas so releasing it as is.
-Finally, it's a big boat with a fair amount of stuff going on. It will most likely cause extra work for your CPU, FPS drops, and all your fans to spin. It is what it is, and is more likely to get worse instead of better if I add more stuff to it for any new updates.

Thanks
To Autonomous157 for feedback and time spent.

'Small' vs real world ships of this nature...big and laggy for Stormworks.

Also, turn on with key, use the remote control, channels 3 or 4

Yep, working on an in-game solution and I'm out of space in the description...

1 and 2 to move fore and aft on the rails, 3 and 4 for cable in and out...5 to toggle connection.

Amazing ship. Love it, but i cant figure out how to use the slider cranes. Can someone help me?

Thanks Kuba, glad you like it. Those doors are locked because they lead to empty areas of the ship.

You can unlock them in the editor by removing the connection to the 'constant on' block. BUT!!!!... those areas also have 'physics flooders' inside, so they would need to be removed as well to be able walk around in there. Those are a sort of purple colour and there should be one per area, if that helps find them. No idea what removing those will do for performance so do so at your discretion....also, it's messy in there, especially the one on the engine level.

how do i unlock doors below deck?
btw it's the best ship i've ever used
