Description
Yes, that's right. You can now have Digimon's most notorious furry bait Renamon in your soldier roster.

I had to re-proportion the body to fit the XCOM rig, and with v2.0, i've matched the proportions and weighting almost 1:1 with the XCOM bare bodies, so they should be cross-compatible with the majority of Vanilla cosmetics plus any mods that have good cross-compatibility.

Also with v2.0, i actually managed to give them facial animations. Rigging funny animal heads onto a human face rig was very difficult, but after hours of re-shaping the head to more-or-less match the XCOM heads' facial features, they now have proper facial animations, minus eyelids. I had to pretty drastically change the shape of the head to achieve this, but i think i did a good enough job overall.

The materials are set up for maximum colorability. The yellow fur is colorable with Skin Color, the white fur with Hair Color, the eyes are colorable, and the sleeves and body markings are colorable with Armor Color. Any bits that use Primary Armor have variants that use Secondary Armor instead.

The ears can be found in both the Hair and Face Prop categories to ensure compatibility with as many helmets as possible. Comes with 2 variants, one pair pointed upward and one pair tilted down and backwards.

The sleeves are available for any non-renamon soldier to wear, located in the Forearm slots. I matched them pretty closely to the XCOM bare arms, so they should work well with those and anything that isn't thick enough to clip out of them. You can find the arm wings and chest fur separately inside the Shoulder and Torso Gear + Thighs categories if you want to keep them while wearing a different torso piece.

INCLUDED STUFF:
  • Renamon (M/F - 2 Heads (Race 0) - 2 Hair/Face Props - 2 Torsos - 2 Left/Right Arms - 1 Shoulder - 2 Forearms - 2 Legs - 1 Torso Gear/Thighs - 1 Thighs/Shins)

FEATURES:
  • Fully modular body parts.
  • Facial animations.
  • Complete colorability.
  • Dual-gender support.
  • Detachable ears.
  • Tail physics.
  • Can wear hats.

REQUIREMENTS / SUGGESTIONS:
  • Community Highlander - REQUIRED for the heads to work without crashing, and to enable use of the modified materials this uses.

  • Invisible Body Parts For All - SEMI-REQUIRED so you have a way to take off auxiliary body parts. Can be skipped if using Unrestricted Customization or Project Dollhouse, they have their own options for removing parts from slots.

  • All Armour Avenger - SEMI-REQUIRED because without this, all your renamon soldiers will use the human underlay uniform when spawned on the Avenger, which will look really stupid.

  • Project Dollhouse - Lets you re-size your Renamon soldiers and gives you far greater color control.

  • Head Options for Skirmishers - Allows Skirmishers to have hair tinting, circumventing the 3rd issue in Known Issues.

KNOWN ISSUES:
  • The heads are a bit small. This was necessary to make the facial animations work, unfortunately.

  • Some facial expressions are a little odd looking due to the lack of eyelids.

  • Skirmishers don't have hair, ergo, no hair tinting, so any renamon skirms you have won't be able to have parts of their fur colored.

  • The heads in this pack all use custom eye textures, so if you use EYExtender it'll forcefully overwrite those textures and give you a monstrosity with hyper-realistic human eyes.

CHANGELOG:
VERSION 2.0 (11/28/2024)
  • The body is now modular and cross-compatible with all vanilla body parts.
  • The face is now animated.
  • Proportion adjustments to more closely match the XCOM bodies.
  • The Tail now works with any torso part.
  • Added Torso Gear chest fur.
  • Added Forearm deco sleeves.
  • Added Shoulder deco wings.
  • New torso variants without the shoulder wings.
  • The index fingers are now correctly rigged to the index finger bones.
  • The heads can no longer generate on non-soldier characters.
  • Material tweaks to stop the hair/skin bits from bleeding into each other in some areas.
  • Removed Tail from Torso Gear so it doesn't overlap with the chest fur.

I changed the internal names of most parts, so you'll need to re-do the customization of any renamon soldiers you had. I figured i might as well, since you'd need to re-do their customization anyway with how much i re-worked the internals of the mod.

Is there a way to use an old version of the mod? The new heads look pretty weird would prefer the non-animation version

Okay. I get that the resizing was necessary to make the rigging work.
But please, please add the old models back in as well, as an option? I can't get over these new shapes.

Getting really weird bugs with the tail where it doesn't seem to be rigged to the body and floats lazily behind and stretches.

Okay, i take it back, it works fine on my end. Equipped a soldier with the RW kevlar and all part slots were open, no idea what could be breaking it on your end and/or allowing me to fully customize the armor on my end.

That's because the Resistance Warrior kevlar is a one-piece torso set by default, none of the other part slots can be used with it. Same with the Tactical Legacy Pack armors as well, all one-piece torso sets.

In hindsight, i probably shouldn't be including support for the RW kevlar in my cosmetic mods if that's how it behaves, unless the cosmetic in question is also a one-piece torso part. Oh well.

Seems the arm slot equips by default whenever a solider is wearing Resistance Kevlar Armor (or Resistance Armor sets in general) and there's no way to just have the arm slot be 0 (Empty). Not sure if this is a result of the mod or conflicts with the base DLC itself

By nature, Digimon don't have gender...
