The Captain's yacht was a auxiliary craft often associated with the Sovereign Class of Starfleet Starship. Captain's yachts were a Captain's personal mode of transport if needed being equipped with all the essentials of a shuttlecraft along with added luxuries for diplomatic duties.

The Cousteau was the Captain's yacht assigned aboard the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-E during the 2370s with it being vital in stopping the Son'a plans during the events of insurrection
