Description


Do you like to play high-tech colonies?
Do you enjoy the variety of the Ideology styles, but find them a tad limiting?
Do you want to plaster your base full of shining and brilliant displays, until your colonists retinas are as crispy as a potato strapped to the bottom of an incoming orbital bombardment?

You do? Then you are in luck today, fine fellow!
The wonderful EGI agents from our “Eyes and Ears” branch have been hard at work to bring you the next generation of holographic projection units.

Featuring 571 projections divided over 14 categories and 2 projector thrones with 16 individual styles, we are sure you’ll find something you enjoy.

And for those still interested in beautiful holograms, but unable to enjoy them due to the frankly straining effort our product places on more casual systems we would like to point you towards
Holograms And Projectors, the lite version of this mod , the predecessor of our current product, which promises a more quaint selection of projections in exchange for a more modest file-size and subsequent usage of computing-resources.




Our merchandise will be ready for construction once the “Holo-Projection” technology, building on “Advanced lighting” has been researched.

Once finished, you’ll be free to try your hand at creating a variety of projectors to start illuminating your colony in ways never before seen.







Each projector features 3 modes, passively affecting your colonists around them.

Recreation: increases the recreation of pawns around them
Education: teaches colonists a random skill
Propaganda: increases certainty in colony-beliefs

The Projectors behave similarly to normal standing lamps and can even be coloured in a primary and secondary colour of choice.

For those who like to enjoy quality education, the large projector also offers a tutoring Mode, when placed adjacent to a school-desk, regailing your children with recordings of leading experts in their fields.They may not be as efficient as one-on-one tutelage, but offer valuable free-time for full-time parents.




The Propaganda option will not be available, if the Ideology-DLC is not present.

The grand projection throne counts as a VFE Empires Stellic throne.

With Expanded Psycasts, using the crafting timeskip for an ideology projector does not create the ideological relic version of the projector.

Uninstalled Holograms continuously throw errors. The error stops after Holograms installation.

I also see the issue with merchant guild. I wonder if that may be not specific to the barter system itself, but rather to any occurence of a hologram device in trade (merchant guild seems to be the only trader that would reliably have hologram devices in stock)

I can confirm that it is incompatible with medieval 2 (merchants), as the barter system probably does something at the same time this mod ticks on global defs.

This mod is incompatible with VFE - Medieval 2 (its Merchant's Guild) with just this mod, that mod and the dependencies you get a looping red error that bricks your game. Just barter with the guild and get unlucky.

This mod is THE performance hitter. Even if there are no holograms on the map it passively chews like 100+ TPS. I have a high end CPU btw. I feel like there should be much more clear of a warning about how chonky this boi is

!!!!!HARD GAMEBREAKING ISSUE!!!!!
While these holos simply do nothing without any more harm in game, the game is SOFT-FROZEN when you try to tamper with its options where YOU CANNOT EXIT THE SETTING SESSION BY ANY MEANS including ESC and CLOSE BUTTON! Nor can you open the dev log!

Is anyone else having an issue where the mod doesnt save changes to the default color? I have to change it every time I restart the game.

I got a bug in my game that is freezing a moving shuttle in place. It happened the moment I sent an odyssey shuttle back to my colony. For some reason the mod seems to be involved. Removing it fixes the issue but I'd rather have the pretty holograms.
