CSS : Culture Special Ships



CSS is a mod that gives variety to the Stellaris ship design. Various new specialized ships can be designed according to the composition of the POPs.

New Special Ships



Depending on your empire's POP composition, you can build a variety of special ships.
Special ships are powerful ships that have dedicated core slot parts and are specialized in a particular way of fighting.



Ship design tradition traits are exclusive each other, cannot be added or removed after the game starts, but you can choose them in species customization.
If the POPs with ship design tradition traits are at least 25% (20% for Xenophile, 15% for Fanatic Xenophile) of the Empire's POPs and meet the technology requirements, you can gt the special ship tech. For the POP percentage calculation, only POPs that have the species right available with the Researcher job - that is, not being slaved or purged - are counted.
You will also be able to use new special ships by purging your opponent's POPs or receiving gifts from other friendly empires.
Devouring Swarm and Determined Exterminator can also build additional dedicated ships.



You can check which special ship technologies have conditions satisfied in the Empire modifier window.


AI Empire and Mod Setting Supports



AI empires fully understand all of the above changes and apply them to their fleet composition, forming various fleets.
You can use addon mod for more diverse and intelligent AI empire fleets.
Through the options in the edict, the restrictions on the production of special ships can be customized.

CSS supports all Stellaris official languages but in English.
Japanese translation patch
Italian translation patch
Russian translation patch
Chinese translation patch


Compatibility Information

CSS does not modify any vanilla Stellaris files and is compatible with most mods.
Fully compatible with BSB, and using together is highly recommended.
Fully compatible with NSC, ESC NEXT, Real Space, all shipset mods.
Compatible with Real Space Ships in Scaling, when used with compatibility patch.
All compatible mods should be ABOVE CSS in the PDX launcher mod lists.

Try using the Shipbuilding Focus mod instead of CSS!
It offers greater freedom, better mod compatibility, and brand-new special ships designed for Stellaris 4.0 - alongside a wide variety of ships just like CSS!

When ESC NEXT is installed, it seems that combat computers added with ESC do not appear on the line where the basic combat computer is displayed.
I thought this might be due to the recent update to BSB, but the same thing happens when I remove BSB, so I think the problem is caused by using CSS and ESC NEXT together.

whenever I use the button to unlock all of the ships my game freezes
is there any way to unlock the ships with console commands or some other fix?
