Description
Hello! This map has officially been added to TF2 in the Summer 2023 Update. I'm leaving this page up for historical purposes, but you should be using the in-game version for anything else, as this one won't be updated any further. If you want to support the creators, why not buy a Rotunda Map Stamp? 100% of the proceeds go to us, and you get a cool particle effect while playing on the map.

Cheers!
-Brokk

Welcome to Rotunda, a steam engine workshop turned secret doomsday storage facility, now abandoned. Fight on trains, fight around trains, and fight for trains!

This take on the King of the Hill gamemode has been inspired by open layouts like Nucleus and Harvest, with an additional gimmick or two to give it something extra. The map is very loosely set in south-eastern Germany, not far from the Iron Curtain, and a lot of effort has been put into showing a rarely seen part of the TF2 Universe, far from the usual desert environments.

This version has been designed and balanced with casual play (24+ players) in mind.

You can find the patch notes on the TF2Maps page[tf2maps.net]!

If you would like to see this map appear in the upcoming Summer Update, make sure you like, subscribe, and share the word! Cheers!

Neat map, but the performance suffers greatly for me when going around and looking at the mid point.

for example. the wooden ramps in the outer ring of the central area on blue side. should be replaced with metal and chain-link-fence/metal panels etc... (keep the red as its. it perfect). the corroded green copper walls in the outer ring of the central point (one with the team signs) i think the red side should get copper colored metal panel wall on it side and the green be for the blue because it's closer looking to blue then red. the exposed brick arches on the blue side should be painted blue more but the paint is decaying to show the brick inside, so they theme of the map can stay the same (keep it for red) as also some wood buried in the pit for the red side and blue scrap on the blue.

Sorry for the long comment, I only made this comment because i kept confused on which side of the map i am at. the map has no real problems because of it design. so we still can find enemies and ways to get into the point. [p2]
