Vanilla Races Expanded is a brand new series of mods to enhance Biotech features, add to the storytelling and the world-building of RimWorld, and to introduce new, cool types of xenohumans, complete with their own unique genes, behaviors, mechanics and items.

This expansive mod brings the ancient and terrifying power of vampiric bloodlines to life, infusing your gameplay with unique genes, incredible abilities, and unforgettable xenotypes. The Sanguophage mod offers an immersive experience, where players must navigate complex management of their sanguophages' hemogen needs and the captivating dynamics of different blood types. Brace yourself for blood moon events, the challenge of the hemohunter mental state, and master new deathrest building enhancements.

Summary of Features:

-Three New Xenotypes: Experience the Strigoi, Ekkimian, and Bruxa subxenotypes, each with their own distinct abilities, appearances, and playstyles. Forge a new path on the Rimworld with these powerful vampiric entities.

Q: Will this mod work without Biotech DLC?
A: No. It uses the new gene system to work with Biotech.

Q: Will you make a HAR version of this race?
A: No, this is exclusively for the Biotech DLC.

Q: Do these genes appear in genepacks in the game?
A: They do! You can find the individual genes and apply them to any pawn!

Q: Can I find this race in the game?
A: Yes, the new Sanguophage variants have a chance to appear whenever a Sanguophage pawn is spawned, for example during the Sanguophage meet up event.

Q: Can I add it to an ongoing save?
A: Yes, but I don’t think you can safely remove xenotype mods, so don’t come crying when your game breaks if you remove mods!

Q: I don’t have the Psychofluid Well in my game!
A: You don’t have Royalty DLC. It will not be available without it.

Q: Does this mod work with any other sanguophage mods?
A: I don’t see why it shouldn’t. We don’t change the base sanguophage - we only add new ones.

Q: Can I put other hemogen types in the Hemogen network?
A: No, all Deathresting structures need standard hemogen, and as such the network only accepts standard hemogen also.

How do I withdraw hemogen from hemogen tanks?

Can you add a mod that makes it so a regular sanguaphage evolves into one of the three after a certain amount of time. Like 2 years or so?

When using the ecstasy ability on a ghoul, the blood essence is fixed at 0 and an error log continues to be generated.

When the Bloodmoon event happened, my hemogenic pawn became hemohunter. And then, she used bloodfeed ability on Ghoul. After thtat, I made her use bloodfeed on Ghoul manually but she couldn't use it because Ghoul is non-bleeding creature right? So is this intended or possibly incompatibility with other mods?

@Kaiser Gagius from what I can tell, all unique types of hemogen last until that pawn's next hemogen pack or bloodfeed use. Since they weren't cosuming any hemogen while deathresting, they kept the buff.

The "Consumed Sanguophage Blood" buff lasts for the entire deathrest? Or have I just not been paying anough attention

Strigoi heart crush kinda trivializes revenants in Anomaly, thanks to being small enough to 1-shot.

Bottom-of-the-list issue of course (especially when I consider the lines of code that would probably be necessary just to balance this one thing.) But I thought it was kinda amusing to share.

Hey, the corpsefeed ability destroys the body, rather than exsanguinating it like I'd expect. Wouldn't it make more sense to add or increase the blood loss hediff on a corpse?

is there some kind of dynamic lighting idk about. its some times completely pitch black when no light is around
