Description
The Corseque (KOR-sek) is a type of European pole weapon, characterized by a three-lobe blade on a 1.8 to 2.5-meter shaft. The head features a long spike and two shorter and stronger lateral blades. The Corseque is said to have originated in Corsica, from where it takes its name.

SSW proudly presents our latest instrument of destruction - the Corseque. This SC 2, level 25 Reforged Eden-only combat CV is purpose-built for cleansing the menace that is the Legacy from the Andromeda galaxy and ships from the factory with

12 Heavy Laser turrets
Four (4) Laser turrets
Four (4) Advanced Laser cannons
Four (4) Artillery cannons
256k Ammo storage
Advanced Shield
Warp Drive
Long-Range Radar
Basic survival gear - Biomedical Chamber, Oxygen Station, Glass Shower, Small Constructor, and Armor Locker
256k Salvage storage and five (5) labeled cargo boxes for Fuel, Pentaxid, etc

Factory-fresh, this Core9 combat CV will earn you Quantum cores from Infectors and Decimators. The armament was kept resource-simple to allow easy spawns but the platform will mount a variety of offensive options. Test pilots prefer to mount EMP Cruise missile and Modulated Gamma laser turrets as soon as they're available since they make the job of burning through Legacy shields much quicker. Heavy Blaster cannons are an obvious choice to replace the Advanced Laser cannons once the schematic is found because their shield penalty doesn't really matter here and they're another VERY effective anti-shield option. The meager 4800 hp shield is plenty of protection for dispatching Legacy drones prior to engaging the real targets.

Since the Legacy Disruptor eats shields for breakfast (starting at 1.55 km), no boosters were included. The Combat Steel and Xenosteel composite nose protects all the decoys needed - several thrusters, 2 Small Generators, and a Detector (which is seen by the AI as a weapon/turret). Keep the nose pointed at the enemy while your turrets and cannons whittle away the shield and then use the Artillery cannons to core the OPVs.

Adding one or more salvaged Quantum cores and improving the weapon loadout will make taking out Eradicators and Devastators much easier. Our test pilot is currently running around with a mix of 8 Heavy Lasers, 6 Modulated Gammas, and 2 EMP Cruise with 2 Heavy Blasters which is sufficient to burn down any Legacy shield in short order. Various locations both on the belly and on the external arms can mount extra turrets. Some minor half block or trim removal may be necessary.

Should the customer wish to repurpose the Corseque as a traditional agile shield fighter against targets like the Zirax or Drones, provision has been made for shield booster placement. All 8 of the small boosters can fit in the engineering section near the generator - remove the piping along the walls. In the nose at the two locations marked with a : once you remove all the glowy blocks is enough space to fit two of the medium shield boosters (one capacitor and one charger would probably work best). There is also space between them for additional Large Generators. Add Aux cores (shield version) as needed to bump up that shield capacity and offset any Heavy Blaster cannon penalty (-1500 hp each).

At the base of the elevator is a 2x2x2 space that would fit a larger constructor or Deconstructor or more cargo boxes or whatever the customer desires. A Control Panel switch is included to extend the front landing beam to make docking easier.

A landing pad is included behind the bridge for a small SV like the Mhanga equipped for repair & salvage duties. Tether and transport duties by your favorite modular carrier suggested (TrineoXL carrier and Mining Module recommended, of course). Legacy asteroid fields are a good source of rare ores once the local infection has been cleaned out.

For a test flight of the all-new Corseque or any other SSW blueprint, stop by your local dealer or contact us at 866.456.DISEASEFREESTARTSWITHME today!

Heavy Armor with dual EVA and Radiation boosters is recommended for salvage operations in Legacy asteroid fields due to the extreme environmental conditions.

Huge thanks to Garaman and Kithid for pre-production testing and feedback

thank you for wonderful guides, do you have any updates? Enemy ships have 2 cores now or even three?

So as a followup to my initial problem. For whatever reason (update?) I could now spawn it in, and it was even mostly functional. Had to add a bunch of CPU and upgraded the warp drive. But it's back in action! Now I just need to live with the fact that my aim totally sucks. So for those warning to try it in RE2: You need 1 basic, 2 advanced and 1 superior extender extra. They can fit where they were, mostly. I don't have the superior built yet, so all my turrets are still light ones, but that was enough to blow up a zirax rich asteroid field and salvage everything for the large upgrades.

great build i love using this and the kirves. would really love it if you could make them work just as well in RE2

So in RE2 it complains about a max number of blocks problem. This might be a server setting (server I'm on has limits on it), or it might be RE2? Any idea? I always loved this thing.

@Ramzay I haven't touched a Mattock Mk2 in a long time. The Corseque should in theory have better decoys/survivability and looks much better. The Mattock may have more internal space for shield bits since it was designed as a shield fighter.

Very nice work. How does this stack vs the Mattock Mk2?

Hi! Awesome ship, great practical vessel without much "fluff", which some builders like a lot. Ez killed Periat with first attempt. Right now added 3 quantums and add some shield boosters for a start. It's perfect!

Subscribed, Liked :) w8 for more works from ya, keep it up
