Pegasus PMC [SP] Campaign

Scenario Description:
In this scenario you will play as a member of the clandestine faction 'Pegasus Private Military Company' completing contracts on behalf of the FIA against the occupying forces of N.A.T.O. & The Russian Federation in the joint occupation zone of the Maldens island chain.

Joint Occupation Zone(Present 2035):
In 2005 N.A.T.O. member states and the Russian Federation signed the Malden Reconciliation treaty which gifted half of the island lost by the soviet union back to the Russian Federation in the hopes that this would deter the Russian Federation attempting to retake the island chain.

Pegasus PMC(Present 2035):
Pegasus Air Co. was founded in 1982 by James Gastovski, the aviation taxi company catered mainly to domestic flights within the Malden islands group. After the events of the 1985 'Malden Islands War' James 's buisness stagnated and he sadly passed away leaving the company to Gastovski's son, Johan Gastovski.

Johan wasn't interested in continuing his fathers legacy in a stagnating industry, using the skills learnt whilst serving in the FIA he became a private military contractor - as it turned out he became quite good at it and started his own clandestine Private Military Company codename Pegasus.

Pegasus PMC is rumoured to be funded by the FIA and has been accused of carrying out attacks against members of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and The Russian Federation.

Malden Islands Crisis (1985):
On April 4th, 1985, Mikhail Gorbachev assumed the position as General Secretary of the Soviet Union. Amongst some of his first decisions as leader of a crumbling Soviet empire was the announcement of glasnost and perestroika reforms, which are welcomed by the West.

However, hardliners from within the Soviet Politburo and its armed forces alike are strongly opposed to news of the impending reforms, which they see as nothing more than an act of weakness in the face of "NATO imperialism".

The hardliners, comprising of high-ranking politicians and intelligence officials from the Committee for State Security (KGB), covertly form a plot to halt Gorbachev's measures.

They succeeded in convincing one of the Soviet military's most influential Generals - a man by the name of Aleksei Vasilii Guba, commander of the 3rd Army garrison on Kolgujev, to join their cause.

While the KGB hardliners arranged for two nuclear-tipped SCUD ballistic missiles to be "diverted" to Guba's garrison, Gen. Guba prepared his own forces for a full-scale invasion of the Malden islands chain.

I am impartial to the current situation in Ukraine this mission was not Russophobic in nature it just seemed like a sensible way of incorporating Russia back into Malden after the events which took place in Armed Assault: Malden Islands crisis.
