Alternative Zombie Spawn Zones

Description
This mod adds another way to spawn zombies, in order to make it possible to adjust/replace the vanilla zombie heatmap. It uses the Foraging Zones, the Room Types, and whether the tile is inside or outside to determine a chance of spawning zombies. Then if the chance is passed, it spawns them.

For each tile, a chance of spawning a zombie will be checked. ( = [Outside Chance] + [Foraging Zone Chance] if the tile is outside, = [Inside Chance] + [Room Type Chance] if the tile is inside)

Click here for the list of all room types[pzwiki.net]

Since EACH TILE IS CHECKED , a 10% chance is already very high ! Do not set values too high or your PC will explode from the sheer number of zombies.

The zombies are spawned ON TOP OF the vanilla zombie heatmap and population settings. So you could go beyond x16 population if your PC can handle it.

Tested in singleplayer.

How does this mod interact with vanilla's zombie spawn system ?
Simple : it doesn't. As long as you don't set the Population on "None" in the first sandbox tab, you're good.
You can have one, or the other, or both together. It stacks. So you could go beyond x16 pop if you want. Or you could go with a x0 multiplier to completely disable vanilla spawning and only rely on this mod.
This spawning method means the same number of zombies will spawn in Riverside zones as in WestPoint zones.
Personally I go with a x0.5 multiplier and use this mod to handle the rest of zombie spawning to fit my needs.

! ! ! IMPORTANT TO KNOW ! ! !
  • DO NOT set the zombie population on "None". It completely disables zombie spawns. Instead, set the zombie pop multiplier to 0. It does not disable zombie spawns. Go figure.

  • Currently this mod does not handle zombie respawn. Since I always play with respawn disabled, I'll admit it is not my priority, so sorry about that. You can still adjust the vanilla respawn settings accordingly.

  • If you experience lag, or are playing in Multiplayer, it is recommended to increase the "Zombie Count Per Spawn" option. It will increase the number of zombies per spawn, but also divide the spawn chance by that much, so overall the same number of zombies is spawned, with less lag, but also less granularity.

Multiplayer :
Doesn't work.

Zombie Respawns :
Not implemented yet.

I am trying to set a game with almost non existing zeds but no matter what value i use there is no way to lower the zombies that spawn in buildings. It did get to clear the streets and open fields but the population of in building spawns remains the same.

If a mod doesn't have the build 42 tag , that means it's not compatible for build 42

Why do you say it doesn’t work properly in SP? Everyone in comments seem happy with it

This mod doesn't work in Multiplayer nor does it work properly in Singleplayer. The only reason I'm not deleting it is because some people still use it for some reason.

Please make this work for Multiplayer, no one plays this game in Singleplayer.
