Euro Truck Simulator 2 - Dedicated Server Multible Instances

Setup multible instances of a ETS 2 Dedicated Server on Windows.

Using Startup Parameter

If you want to launch a server with different configuration, use following startup parameters:

-homedir "set a home directory"
-server "server packages file name"
-server_cfg "server config file name"


Exemple for a none Single Server and homedir:

eurotrucks2_server.exe -nosingle -homedir "C:\GameServer\ETS2Docs2\"

Exemple for a none Single Server, different server files and no homedir set:

eurotrucks2_server.exe -nosingle -server "server_packages_en.sii" -server_cfg "server_config_en.sii"

No homedir means, the gameserver will use the default location, \Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2.

You do not need to rename the server files if you set a -homedir. You can skip the next two steps.

Copy files and rename it

Working directory: Documents - Euro Truck Simulator 2

Copy & Paste following:
server_config.sii
server_packages.dat
server_packages.sii

and rename it as you liking. In my case:
server_config_en.sii
server_packages_en.dat
server_packages_en.sii

Edit file

Open up:
server_packages_en.sii

And edit line 14:
roads_data_file_name: "/home/server_packages.dat"
to
roads_data_file_name: "/home/server_packages_en.dat"

Save file.


Open up:
server_config_en.sii

And make your changes.

Server Packages Server Error(s)?

In some cases if you want to make a second server, the map data can be outdate depens when you created the server packages you surely can create fresh server packages without destination file.

Or you already using the default files, to don't override them you can choose a destination file.

export_server_packages destination file

You must create a second Config files for the server.
Copy & Paste the server configs to the same folder and use the line
eurotrucks2_server.exe -nosingle -server "server_packages_2.sii" -server_cfg "server_config_2.sii" like this.

hello, it's ok but
I've change ports in "server_config.sii" line 14 15
connection_dedicated_port: 27015
query_dedicated_port: 27016
=> 27017 & 27018 or 32015 & 32016 like a forum says but the second instance with another port always want 27016...

does i must change in an other line/file ?
