[1.4] More Injuries

Description
Use the newer version instead:

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3348840185

This is a resurrected version of Caulaflower's More Injuries mod. It adds a lot of new mechanics related to injuries to the game, increasing the difficulty somewhat.

Many parts of this mod are optional and can be disabled, check the Mod Options when installing.

Since I am not the author of the mod, I make no promises on fixing original issues or adding anything new.

More bodyparts
* Abdomen.
Getting shot in abdomen or stomach may cause spillage of gastric acids, which carries huge risks of infection.
* Small and large intestines.
Impact metabolism and may cause chemical peritonitis just like the abdomen does. Can be replaced with bionic versions.
* Spinal cord.
A part of the spine, may cause body-wide paralysis when damaged.
* Femoral arteries.
Big arteries in legs. Low coverage, but make you think twice before shooting a potential prisoner in the leg.

More health conditions
* Adrenaline surges.
Receiving injuries may dump adrenaline into the organism, lowering preception of pain and increasing movement speed.
* Airway clogging.
Lung and neck injuries cause blood spillage, gradually chocking the victim. Must be cleared by another pawn performing CPR or via an airway suction device. Sound effects for this may be toggled in mod options.
* Hypovolemic shock.
Caused by rapid loss of blood. Must be stopped via a blood transfusion or the usual treatment as soon as possible. The longer it goes on, the harder it will be to treat it with normal medicine. Hemopack transfusions are a part of the Biotech DLC.
This part of the mod is quite overtuned, it is recomemdrd that you disable Advanced Shock unless you know what you're doing
* Hearing damage.
Being near heavy gunfire will leave your pawns dizzy and struggling to hear things. Wear a helmet with ear coverage to prevent this.

More injuries
* Bone fractures.
Bullets and impacts may fracture bones, rendering them unusable. Use a splint to fix the bone or perform a surgery.
* Spalling.
Bulllet and armor fragments may cause unexpected injuries after impact deflections.
* Concussion.
Heavy head injury might additionally leave the pawn dazed and confused, struggling to get a grip on the chaos unfolding around them. Severely reduces conciousness and sight. Will heal on its own after around half a day.
* Lung collapse.
Lung wounds might cause a buildup of air inside the chest cavity, slowly collapsing one of the lungs. Must be surgically fixed.
* Hemorrhagic stroke.
Overpressure of blood vessels in the brain caused by high energy impacts to other vessels in the organism. Which means "beating people to half-death is not okay even if you do it with a perfectly blunt stick". Consider an arrest, or at least, a taser, instead of a million bruises.

More medical equipment
* Bandage.
The most primitive way of combating bleeding. Slow to apply, mediocre efficiency. Made with any fabric.
* Hemostat.
A coagulant which can be quickly applied to reduce bleeding rate. Much faster to apply and more potent than a bandage. Unlocked after medicine production. Made with fabric and chemfuel.
* Tourniqette.
Heavily reduces bleeding rate at the cost of reducing bodypart efficiency. Can only be applied to limbs or, if your pawn is severely intellectualy impaired, to the neck too. Appliable by right clicking on a pawn or by a gizmo when the pawn is downed. Made with textiles or leather.
* Airway suction device.
Quickest way to save a chocking soldier in field. Unlocked after medicine production. Made with steel and chemfuel.

Compatibility
Compatible with Combat extended.
Patched for Rah's Bionics and Surgery Expansion, new natural bodyparts rot when stored unfrozen.

SAVE GAME ISSUE

When adding the mod to an existing save, you are likely to run into an issue where bionics are misplaced, To fix this, load a map (the mod option doesn't show otherwise) and click option "Fix misplaced bionics". This will only affects pawns in loaded map, so you'll have to repeat the process if you are running a few maps

I found an annoying bug where a pawn bleeds to 100%, and even after completely healing, including blood replenishment, it remains "smitten" to infinity

Yep, go use that version everyone, this page is left up only for historical purposes.

The 1.5 rework is now on steam: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3348840185

It ended up being a full rework of every single feature and I added some more injury types and treatment options. Note that while I tested every feature individually, there may still be some integration bugs or conflicts with other mods. The steam description is also still very much work in progress, I hope to finish a full description of all changes and added features over the next few days :)

I recommend backup up your save files and/or testing the mod for potential conflicts with your mod pack in a new temporary colony.

Update on my 1.5 version:
It's still not officially stable, but as far as I am aware everything should work now (focus on *should*). I haven't had the time to thoroughly play-test it, but if you're interested you can check out the first semi-stable development version from GitHub: {LINK REMOVED}

Beware that there may be bugs as I basically had to re-write the whole mod to be better maintainable in the future.
Noteworthy changes are the inclusion of my More Injuries Patched mod {LINK REMOVED} to make hypovolemic shock more manageable (now to be treated using blood/hemogen transfusions) and I reworked the mod settings to be more straightforward and to allow to tweak more things.
Be sure to make backups of your saves should you choose to test this development version, and please report any bugs on GitHub {LINK REMOVED}

@negimagi_10 no, the unique textures for injuries would be a separate mod
