Balrok99's Basilisks

Description
*NOTICE* All of my screenshots are taken with my certified potato pc™.
This means (at least in theory) that my custom units will look better on your high-end machine (if you do have one).
So don't be scared off by my horrible screenshots, thanks.

This is a direct port of my Balrok99's Basilisks mod from Warhammer 2 with just some minor changes.

This mod adds the Basilisk for Warriors of Chaos (Daemons of Chaos and Monogod factions are NOT included), Norsca, Beastmen and Greenskins.

They are available through the following building chains:
-Through the main monsters building chain for the Greenskins.
-Through the main norscan creatures building chain for Norsca.
-Through the main horde creatures building chain for the Beastmen
-Through the Black Fortress large monsters building chain for Warriors of Chaos.[need the Local Recruitment mod for WoC.]

Credits compendium:

Thanks to balrok99 https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198092236389 for his original Basilisks mod https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2129742043 and for approving my updated version.
Thanks to greenphoenix23 https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198030694966 for his custom Dread system script and ui featured in his Lost & Found Beastmen: Loreful Additions https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3033439831
Thanks to Phazer for RME editor!
Thanks to H3ro and his great tool!
Any of this would not have been possible without Frodo45127's RPFM which is still updated to this very day, thank you!
I would also like to thank Sebidee and Caligula for their great modding guides!
And I would like to thank you!
Whatever you liked my mod or not thanks a bunch for giving it a try!

Uh, that's new.
Guess that the vanilla Dread menu doesn't automatically scale and just overlap the unit infopics at a certain point.
Ok, I'll give a check to that script and see if I can fix that.

When I use this mod with a bunch of other Beastmen unit mods, this one specifically causes giants to disappear from the dread menu.

I contacted the author of Lost & Found Beastmen: Loreful Additions and he said that you could use his script to incorporate these into the Beastmen menu seamlessly as long as you give him credit.

His mod has a scroll bar and a foundation for adding unlimited Beastmen units as long as said mods utilize his script.

I already contacted another Beastmen unit author whose mod (Monsters for Throgg (and friends)) had the same problem and said issue was fixed by using that mod's script.

I honestly don't see the problem with that.
Just close the pop up and keep using this mod without the Local recruitment mod.
I'll rather have the mod set to "required" even if optional since a large chunk of people don't even take the time to read the mod's description properly.
I'm positive about the fact that people would flock here sooner or later in the comment section claiming that "they can't recruit this unit with WoC for some reason" if I don't put that optional mod as required.
Yes: *even if I clearly specified that you need that optional mod with WoC in description*.
Trust me on that one.

Could you make Local recruitment mod not required? I know it is optional and won't crash game, but if you mark it as required items on workshop, the mod manage will say missing required mods.

Jul 7 Update:
-Removed WoC version of this unit from the Warband system
-Added the new Local Recruitment mod for WoC as new mod requirement (optional, only needed for recruiting this custom unit with WoC in campaign)

Sorry for the possible trouble generated by this update but I'll rather have my custom WoC units recruited with this method instead of cluttering the vanilla Warband System.

It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you that I will not be updating any of my mods in time for the Chorfs update because my potato PC has finally left me after years of honoured service.
I have already found a replacement, but since I still need to know the shipment data and because of other shenanigans going on, I can't give you an exact ETA on when I'll be back.
You have my full permission to take and update any of my mods, but keep in my mind that I'll be back eventually and I'm going to update the OG ones.
Now I know that some of you might want to leave a comment to cheer me up or ask me some questions but please DO NOT do that and keep the comment section clean so that people can read this comment and understand why I'm not updating my stuff.
Thanks for all the support and see you again when my new rig arrives.

Thanks but:
-This Basilisk is not mine, it was made by balrok99.
-The Preyton is also not my stuff but a ChaosRobie's mod, you must be confused there.
-I actually do have a "Chimera" model in the works but it's definitely NOT the Chimera you are talking about (you are probably wishing for the 8th edition Chaos Chimera) which would require extensive use of custom animation to look good (which I don't make and it's way above my modding skills).
-I suggest you to either ask for a Chaos Chimera to ChaosRobie (since he's already experienced with custom animations) or see if anyone with similar modding skills in Da Modding Den is interested in making Chaos Chimeras https://discord.com/invite/SvR7sbr

The preyton was already surprisingly good, and now you have pulled off a basilisk as well? Thats fantastic. Crossing fingers for a Chimera if you get the notion to make one of those next lol. Great work!

No, and I have no idea about how the monster pits mechanic's internal files work so I wouldn't expect an update on that anytime soon.
