Gravity gun

Description
This is the gravity gun I've been working on for about a couple weeks. Poly count is 38,278. That's due to bad topo on my part when I made this a while back. It's not well optimized at all for this and I really should have someone or at least I should redo the whole thing to clean up the uvs and the model poly count to something much more reasonable. 13 bones. 4 are particle attachments. The rods, crystal and front are selfillumed has 3 skins. One is normal then there is super and the last is no selfillum. The preview picture was made by digivee, textures are from www.cgtextures.com/ , other help from SfManiac and all the help from my friends keeping me on this model. Please report any bugs you may have.

Gravity gun is owned by VALVe and as is Gordon Freeman.

dude can you tell me please how can i make the effect of the gravity gun when it's grabbing something nobody did a tutorial for this and i really need to know please

TBH one day I wanna redo this properly. Not like some super high poly trash and try to actually properly do what it should be 1 to 1. I mean I know I made this ages back. But it could be so much cleaner topology wise and better looking, like rust, roughness and all the little details to make it look like it came fresh out of a junkyard.

hey bud mind if i use your model in a 3d printing project i cant seem to find a high poly model worth a damn, so mind if i print yours out and throw some electronics in it? :P if your down with it hit me up here or in a pm have a good day / night cya!

Was bad modeling on my end and badly done booleans. tbh I should have redone it before converting it. I originally made it just for blender pics. also yea. the cylinders could be bringing it up too a bit.

That would have been mine.

I was asking why the triangle count was so high. Usually weapon models that break the 30k range have supporting loops for the edges; but I don't see any. Is is due to the numerous cylinders that it's so high?
