Description
Add modular weapons that you can replace parts.



How to customize weapons

Create customizable "modular weapons" at the workbench.
Immediately after creation, or by having a pawn equipped with a modular weapon examine the gunsmith workbench, a window will open. You can customize your weapon there.

  • Q. I found a bug!
    A. Please post at Bug report topic following the format, or ask me on my Discord channel.
    It may go unnoticed otherwise.

  • Q. Are modular weapons generated randomly?
    A. No, only crafted by player.
    NPCs(Raiders, Caravans) will bring their customized weapons.
    (2023/Jan/10 ~)This chances are configuable by MOD config.

  • Q. Safe for existing save data?
    A. Safe for adding. Not sure about deleting, maybe safe.

  • Q. Does it compatible with 〇〇〇 weapon mod?
    A. No. This mod does nothing existing weapons, if it's vanilla's or not. This mod just adds customizable weapons. But, some weapons you want may be in add-ons.

  • Q. Can I make/publish compatibility patch with 〇〇〇 mod?
    A. Sure!

  • Q. How do I make an add-on mod using ModularWeapons?
    A. See PDW addon for reference

Compatibility with other mods
I recommend to place this mod earlier in the load order as possible.
High probability of incompatibility with the following mods;
  • changes info card of weapons
  • changes commands of attack
  • changes whole systems of combat

I'm trying solve all incompatibility!

yes the range is still not quite equal to vanilla sniper but it is only off by a few tiles. unlike the basically 2x range it was at before.

After consulting with him, we discovered that his complaints were caused by his use in conjunction with the X - Improved Combat System. It was patched by an update.

the bolt action cant be made as good as the sniper rifle and there is no base modular weapons sniper rifle, it might be very op to customize the sniper rifle but if you want a super sniper take a look at the portable cannon addon it can be made to shoot much further and deal more damage at the cost of dps as well as giving the option for hmg's

So I am trying to make a modular sniper rifle... However, as far as I can tell there is no option for this. Just upgrading a modular bolt action rifle does not get me to a rifle as good as the vanilla sniper. Am I missing something?

Why does modular chain shotgun look so much better than other guns (better resolution). Will other guns and attachments have this good looking resolution in the next version?
