1. Hardware You'll Need
    What you'll need
  • Rift CV1 kit (HMD, at least 2 controllers, and at least 2 sensors)
  • Any VR headset that isn't a Rift CV1 or Rift S (The Oculus runtime only allows ONE headset to run at a time)
  • A way to put the CV1 controllers on your feet
NOTE: If you want to use a Quest or Quest 2, Link and Air Link will NOT work. Consider using Virtual Desktop if you use a Quest or Quest 2.
2. Install OVR Space Calibrator!
https://github.com/pushrax/OpenVR-SpaceCalibrator
OVR Space Cal aligns 2 different headsets/tracking technologies to work with each other. Reverb G2 users also use Space Cal to use their HMD with their Index controllers and also allows other users to use Vive Trackers for full body tracking. But wait! We don't have Vive Trackers. That leads us to step 3!
3. Oculus_Touch_Steam_Link
https://github.com/mm0zct/Oculus_Touch_Steam_Link Oculus_Touch_Steam_Link let's you use your CV1 touch controllers work with other headsets. You'll want to click on code and download the ZIP

Then, where you downloaded the ZIP folder, you'll want to open it and go to: Oculus_Touch_Steam_Link-main.zip/Oculus_Touch_Steam_Link-main/ReleasePackage

and drag the OculusTouchLink folder into where you installed SteamVR and into the Drivers folder.

Next, we're going to open the folder in SteamVR Drivers and right click and edit the run_as_trackers bat file and replace "ovr_test.exe n 26 Oculus_link oculus_link n 10 y y y" at the top with "ovr_test.exe n 31 HTC lighthouse n 11.1 y y n" save and exit notepad. Now we're going to start calibrating!
4. Calibration
BEFORE you start SteamVR, run the "run_as_trackers" bat file. This will trick SteamVR into thinking that your CV1 controllers are Vive Trackers. Make sure the Rift CV1 HMD is also plugged in and has something covering the proximity sensor.

Next, start SteamVR from where your native headset would launch it. (In Virtual Desktop, click the button with the 3 lines on your left controller and click "Launch SteamVR")

If you see your CV1 controllers as Vive Tracker 2.0s, that means IT WORKS!

Pull up Space Cal on your dashboard and start calibrating! Pair your main controller with the CV1 controller of the same hand (Left Index controller with left CV1 controller, and right Index controller with right CV1 controller for example)

During calibration (with your main controller and CV1 controller in the same hand) make a slow figure eight pattern with your hand until calibration is complete, and do the same on the other hand.
ALMOST DONE!!
After aligning your new "Vive Trackers" to your headset with OVR Space Calibrator, find a way to put the CV1 controllers on your feet and launch an app that supports full body tracking (Neos, Blade and Sorcery, ChilloutVR, VRChat, LIV, etc.) and run the full body calibration that that app uses. THAT'S IT!!!!!!!

NOTE For Blade and Sorcery, it might not work right away. To fix this, go to SteamVR settings > controllers > manage trackers > and set LHR-OCULUS_LEFT to LEFT FOOT and LHR-OCULUS_RIGHT to RIGHT FOOT
