Description
THIS MOD IS NO LONGER MAINTAINED. It still works for the most part, but we will not be pushing any more updates or fixing any more bugs. Sorry!

Do you like flies? Do you wish that your heart was replaced with flies? Maybe the rest of your internal organs too? If so, continue reading.

Introducing the latest and greatest modded character, Duke! The iconic boss has been redeemed and shrunken, and can now be played as.

This special guest is unable to pick up hearts past a certain cap, and will instead convert his HP into powerful orbiting flies! Stay on the defensive, or attack your foes with hordes of flies!

Featuring:
  • 2 new characters, Duke and Tainted Duke. Both are unlocked right from the start!
  • 13 unlockable items!
  • 4 unlockable trinkets!
  • 3 unlockable cards/runes!
  • 1 unlockable heart type!
  • 21 new Heart Fly and Heart Spider familiar types!
  • Feces (edible)

Both characters have a full set of character unlocks. If you wish to use the new content right away, you can toggle unlocks using Mod Config Menu

This mod also supports EID and Encyclopedia, so check out those mods if you want more detailed descriptions of the characters and their unlockables.

@Gabriel We've just gotten busy with other projects, and don't have time to fix bugs every time the game gets a patch or a mod with custom hearts gets updated. In hindsight, modded heart support was a pretty bad idea, it made this mod like 10 times harder to maintain.

i had a bug
when i used blue hourglasses that turn back time - ALL my blue fly's turns into red fly's
please fix it

I had the bug with the flies not turning around the character and staying frozen, so I did what @ryon recommended (I went into data\duke and deleted the file inside).
I play a game, the next day I restart the game I play this character and again this problem.
Isn't there another solution besides doing this technique every time?

@hehe Zivs, Looks like the Drive file link didn't go through. But in any case, we don't really support this mod anymore so any bugs will unfortunately not be fixed (unless its an easy fix). I don't know much about Repentogon myself, but if I had to guess, it may be screwing with custom entity IDs in such a way that it's causing those items to spawn flies with IDs that aren't supposed to be spawned (in this case, flies for modded hearts). Sorry!

I have repentogon, maybe that is causing problems? I've been enjoying the mod very much :3
