Description
This mod is meant to stop the need for players to have an extra window open for Platinum God or The Binding of Isaac's gamepedia page, by porting the Wiki's contents into the game in a simple to use menu.

Features:
- Full Afterbirth+ and Repentance cross-compatibility! (In case you can't read the thumbnail)
- Press [c] or [f1] to open the menu on keyboard, press both joysticks on controller.
- Displays thorough information for all of the items in game.
---- Displays mod name (or none if Vanilla).
---- Displays Item Name.
---- Displays the Item Sprite.
---- Displays the Item Description.
---- Displays the Item Itempools.
---- Displays the gamepedia's entry on the item.
- Option to autogenerate modded items into the Encyclopedia.
- A nifty submenu to see your current inventory and items.
- A useful submenu to see every item, trinket and else laying on the room.
- Displays thorough information for all of the characters in the game.
---- Displays mod name (or none if Vanilla).
---- Displays Character Name.
---- Displays Character Completion (localized inside the mod).
---- Displays the gamepedia's entry on the Character.
- Easy to use API. (Documentation here)[github.com]

Interactions:
- External Item Descriptions: Encyclopedia heavily relies on this mod to autogenerate modded items' descriptions, it is therefore recommended to combine the two when playing.

Notes:
- While modded items get autogenerated into the Encyclopedia, it is still recommended to manually add support if you want to display your items's itempools, or more thorough descriptions than what EID allows (due to the limited screenspace).
- If the autogeneration setting is on, you might experience a slight lag spike the first time you open a submenu.
- All of the Wiki entries in this mod were autogenerated using a python script, so there might be a couple of broken entries, make sure to report them if you see them. and reviewed by hand!
- The Inventory menu doesn't display items in order of collection, because that would be literal hell on Earth to implement :P
- It is also recommended to manually add your own characters, it's really easy and doesn't take much time (considerably less time than items, that's for sure!). Otherwise you run the risk of the character autogeneration not properly getting your character's sprite or data.

IMPORTANT:
If clicking a tab or an item displays a buggy empty screen and makes you unable to leave the menu, that is NOT an issue with Encyclopedia. You have a separate mod enabled that is breaking the menu.

If you report any bug or "issue" that is addressed in either the description, the thumbnail, mod images, or the first page of the mod's comments, your comment will be deleted.

Alternatively, if the menu cannot be opened with the safe key [F1] or some wiki entries are missing, you probably got a download failure. The mod is pretty big and thus needs some time to properly copy over files when you launch it for the first time or during an update.

To fix it, follow these steps:

1. Unsubscribe from the mod.
2. Go here C:\Users\user\Documents\My Games\Binding of Isaac Afterbirth+ Mods and delete the folder called Encyclopedia_2376005362.
---- 2 (REP): Go here C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Binding of Isaac Rebirth\mods\ and delete the folder called Encyclopedia_2376005362.
3. Go here C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\250900 and delete the folder called 2376005362.
4. Launch your game, and once the start screen loads, close it.
5. Resubscribe to the mod again.
6. Launch the game and DO NOT close it until the start screen loads.

Mods copy over files during the black screen when the game is launched, while it may look like the game froze or crashed, you need to wait until it loads properly, otherwise you will interrupt the process and get a download failure.

Localization
Sadly there will be no localization for Encyclopedia, as that would require maintining all of the wiki descriptions in other languages (which would most than likely need to be translated by hand). Not only that, but it would increase the weight of the mod by A TON which is unviable, but the biggest factor is that Dead Sea Scrolls (the menu library) does not support special characters like the ones used in other languages.
I hope you understand.

Does this show items picked up for 100% completion? if not would be cool if you could add that (if possible) (❁´◡`❁)

Ah no worries, thank you for your responses

Unfortunately yeah. when repentogon+ officially releases, I'll update to rep+ and investigate the issue myself, but until then we'll just have to wait.
iShadowGato21 May 20 @ 4:44am
Ah okay so it will be a “wait for an update to hopefully fix the issue”
AgentCucco  [author] May 18 @ 4:49pm
It's a separate mod, if you don't know what it is, you probably don't have it installed.
iShadowGato21 May 18 @ 1:40pm
Well I don’t know what mod profiler is, so I don’t know if it’s just part of this mod that I can disable, part of another mod, or part of the base game that I just didn’t know of its existence.
AgentCucco  [author] May 17 @ 7:05pm
Well you can just not use mod profiler, it's not a mod designed to be on all the time, it's exclusively for debugging. As for the Rep+ thingy, no, I don't really work on this mod anymore so we'll have to wait until someone pushes a fix to the git.
iShadowGato21 May 17 @ 6:39pm
Ah I see. So I assume there's nothing I can do for now? Considering both of those things seem out of my hands.
AgentCucco  [author] May 15 @ 10:47pm
I have two hypothesis for this issue:
1. An already confirmed bug with Mod Profiler that forces inputs to be doubled for some reason, which causes issues with DSS Menu (though this might've been fixed in a new DSS version)
2. Rep+ wackies.

I'm sorry if you posted a solution for this elsewhere or keep getting comments about this, but I'm also getting the sound when I open the menu that can only be described as "conflicted keybinds trying to activate at the same time repeatedly". Just wanted to make sure this was known.
