Info:
This guide is about making units, nanites and quicksilver fastest way possible. There will be even included how to earn them waaaay faster but some might say that you are exploiting. (The quicksilver guide will be only by exploiting)

How to get units in No man‘s sky:
There is a ton of ways how to get units thanks to new updates but I will mention only those that I think they are worthy to be here. 1. method is being outlaw and doing outlaw missions. It’s pretty fun but u will get bad reputation and need a tiny piece of skill to be able to crush your enemies with even basic photon cannon. But when picking missions there is a way to get new ones without completing them. You only need to take random mission, start it, leave, come back and abandon mission. Then you just come back and look at new missions. You can repeat that how many times you want. Then take your loot and sell it for profit 😉.

2. method are activated indium farms. These bad boys give you crazy amounts of money without doing anything. You can create them yourselves by finding a good spot on a planet in blue system with bad weather or just find some made by other people. To make it easier here is a link for probably best NMS website ever: https://nmsce.com/ Just go in Base section type indium farms and you are done. But the catch is you need to have all the glyphs for portals to do that so you need to progress in main story.
Now for the „exploit part “. If you find that farm and loot it there is a 1-day cooldown for indium to recharge so you can park your ship or save device close to the storage and loot the storage. Then save your game go to settings and do a reload manual save. After that the storage will be full and you can repeat the process how many times you want. (Similar way is used with buying things with quicksilver.)
How to get nanites in No man‘s sky:
There are only 2 methods to gain a lot nanites. 1. method is by killing sentinels. Again, it’s the more fun method but unexpectedly it can be even more profitable. Problem is you’ll need to have some good S shield and weapon upgrades and a lot of bullets. Way to earn nanites from them is by finding high sentinel activity planet. After that try to find and shoot some sentinel. When you kill the sentinel there is a chance for them to drop salvaged glass which can give you many nanites or upgrades to sold for nanites. Here is link for a way to squeeze as much as nanites possible from those annoying robots: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3L95XoL6dXw&ab_channel=Xaine%27sWorld

2. method is refining some stuff. You can refine platinum, hadal core, larval core, tinted metal and the best runaway mould. It’s the same thing like with the indium farms. These moulds can spawn anywhere you just need to look with your visor for it. Once you find it you will need to mine them and put them into refiner to gain nanites. They are most likely ging to spawn on icy planets but of course best way is just to use https://nmsce.com/ and in the Base section type nanite farm.
Now again for the „exploit part “. You can see that is takes some time for moulds to respawn so you can use the same trick with reloading a manual save like with the indium farms. That way you don’t have to wait and have infinite supply of moulds. But you can just visit other bases on your planet and loot they’re moulds if there are any bases around.
How to get quicksilver in No man‘s sky:
Best way and only one without a doubt is doing nexus weekly missions that give you 1000 quicksilver for completing them. You can also do basic quicksilver missions that give you 250 quicksilver but that takes long. For this exploit you’ll need at least 3200 quicksilver. The process is long to describe but easy to comprehend so there is a link for a video that explains it a lot faster 😉:

Note: (This glitch doesn’t work on void eggs, fireworks or anything you can buy multiple of.)
Conclusion:
Well, I hope you’ll enjoy my guide and I hope it will help you. Don’t try to over do these farms otherwise NMS might get a bit more weary but thanks to Hello Games developers this game never dies and gets new fascinating updates that make it worth to buy NMS. Goodbye and have a nice day :D

i literally forgot how to use the egg thing lol
i'm finding animals that lay edible eggs not hatchable or that i just forgot

plus if i just get a space potato from a quest that's like two days long i'm not doing it then
what does the space potato even do?

dude, i thought the same as you. i thought wow, s-rank ship with cool appearance and cheap hyperdrive, just for 3,200 quicksilver? but i was wrong

the living ship quest is the worst one in the whole game by far. you have to spend so long just trying to get to the right coordinates of the planet to get a recipe and make it, then a 23-25 hour timer is slapped on and you have to wait about a day just to do it again, but now the coordinates it tells you to go to are shifting and you have to figure it out

its not fun, it takes a long time, and in the end if you dont rig it you are almost guaranteed to get something that looks more like an alien space potato than a sentient ship

go to the quicksilver synthesis companion and scroll down his menu until you find the something egg that costs 3,200 quicksilver. thats the start of the quest.

good luck

fair, ironically expeditions expedite this even with the limitations it gives you.
Dartvix  [author] Aug 22, 2022 @ 3:17am
True but you need to farm salvaged datas the same way like bones for progress so lot of running around which might not be for everyone

ancient bones for quick boosts, literally will give hundreds of thousands to millions of units every time.
