Improved Energy Weapons for OPTRE

Description
Adds new ACE damages type for more realistic directed energy weapon wounds

This mod is a work in progress. Wound weighting may need to be tweaked. Feedback is welcome.

Wound types caused include:
  • Thermal Burns
  • Ablations
  • Heat Induced Explosive Hemorrhages

Ablations are similar to avulsions, essentially a chunk of your body is simply burned away. There is still some blood loss, which is the only way ACE can simulate the fluid shifts in the body caused by large full thickness burn injuries.

Heat Induced Explosive Hemorrhages are caused by the intense heat instantly vaporizing bodily fluids which then essentially explode from the body, and can even shatter bone (as seen in the bodies of some who died from the pyroclastic flow when Mount Vesuvius erupted). These wounds result in a lot of blood loss, and should be bandaged ASAP.

Requires Operation Trebuchet: First Contact, either DEV or regular version will work. I didn't mark it as required so that you can use either version without the annoying "missing" dependency warning.

Nothing special required with regards to treatment, just bandage like any other wound.

This mod adds new ACE wound types that are more realistic for directed energy weapons. I have not touched the stats of the plasma weapons themselves at all. If you're seeing any AOE damage it's not coming from this mod.

As for dying in one shot, while possible, it shouldn't happen every time, or even be common. Going unconscious from one hit wouldn't be that unusual though, but that can happen with any weapon. But all of that is going to be dependent on your ACE Medical settings, and is beyond the scope of this mod. The only thing this mod does is add new types of wounds. So instead of getting bruises for example, you get thermal burns. Instead of avulsions, you get Explosive Hemorrhages.

This seems to give all the plasma weapons AOE damage and OHK dudes. ODSTs were being killed by one shot from plasma pistols.

You'd need both.

I could make a third version that includes both if there's demand for it though.
