So, what is this mod? Racial Weapon Megamod is... Just that.
A Huge mod which restores a multitude of weapons from Starbound's Beta.

What Makes RWM Special?
Rather than revive outdated crafting materials, RWM makes use of
existsing crafting materials and influences the visuals to match.

In addition to that, RWM has unique implementation of abilites, damage balancing,
tiered progression, and visual crafting recipes for a unqiue challenge.

Included in the Mod:
- 60 Axes
- 66 Broadswords
- 60 Daggers
- 60 Hammers
- 60 Shortswords
- 60 Spears
- 14 Staves

For a Grand Total of 380 Unique Melee Weapons!
Each Weapon has been hand-crafted with elemental effects,
primary and alt abilities, status effects, and DMG values.

There are also random variants of every single weapon, with near endless combinations!

In addition, there are also 22 Ranged Weapons in the form of:
- 11 Pistols
- 11 Rifles

Each Race now has a tiered progression system of ever improving weaponry!

If you enjoy the mod, support it by leaving a like or a rating!

So, you got the mod, and you're ready for some action! Awesome!

This mod adds a wide array of weapons for each of six races to use.

The weapons will deal elemental damage once you reach T5, based on your species, as follows:
Apex (Electric) Avian (Fire) Floran (Poison) Glitch (Electric) Human (Fire) Hylotl (Ice)

On character creation you will be given a starter racial broadsword in your ship locker.
Use it as you may, it is slightly better than the broken protectorate sword they give you!

While you are exploring, keep an eye out for trisilicate shards! These crystals are a valuable commodity, and can be exchanged for MegaMart credits!

Weapons can soon be crafted at the "MegaMart Weapon Smithing Station", with new and better versions based on your race unlocking with every new weapon you craft! As you progress you will unlock better and better weapons, with the best having special and powerful abilities for you to use.

The best of the best are incredibly strong and formidable weapons, with higher than average DPS.
Though be wary, the better the weapon, the more difficult it will be to craft, so be sure to have plenty of materials on hand!

Once you reach tier 5 of the basic weapons, you will unlock the "Racial Weapon Randomizer", which will allow you to craft randomized variants of any weapon after crafting the basic variant. Use it, or don't. It's up to you!

At this point you will also unlock the RWM MegaMart, from which you can buy a variety of unique items which unlock additional weapons and crafting stations, such as the rewards terminal, or the exchange!

MegaMart Rewards Terminal

MegaMart Exchange

MegaMart Salvage

Upon reaching tier 10 of the basic weapons, you will unlock the "Racial Weapon Upgrader"
This station lets you craft randomized T10 variants of any weapon, making each and every weapon useful in the endgame!

Q: How do I use this mod?
A: Simple! Hit that subscribe button and you should be good to go!

Q: Can I Uninstall this mod?
A: Yep, All weapons should turn to generic objects and you should be fine.

Q: How about mid-game?
A: Yes, this mod can safely be installed, and/or uninstalled at any point in your save!

Q: Is this mod compatible with other/similar mods?
A: While being incredibly redundant with mods that also restore racial weapons, this mod should be compatible.
To my knowledge, no other mod uses the exact same naming convention for items as I have. As such, there should be no conflict.

Q: Is this mod compatible with Fracking Universe?
A: Yes. As well as a plethora of other mods which I have tested with it.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: Where can I find the weapons?
A: All weapons relevant to your race can be crafted at the "MegaMart Weapon Smithing Station"
which can be crafted at the inventor's table.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: How do I find a specific item?
A: In the MegaMart Weapon Smithing Station, pick a tab corresponding to your race. Now simply type a number from 1-10. This will show all weapons of that tier. You can also type (race) (weapon) (tier#), for instance: avian spear 1 - This will find the tier 1 avian spear.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: Can I get other races weapons on my character?
A: Yes, simply buy a manual for that species' weapons from the RWM Vending Machine which can be obtained from the MegaMart Weapon Smithing Station.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: How do I spawn your items?
A: Items can be spawned using the /spawnitem command followed by the name of the item you want to spawn
The general naming convention for my mod is:

(race)(tier)(weapontype)basic, for instance: /spawnitem aviantier3spearbasic
weapontypes are: axe, broadsword, dagger, hammer, shortsword, spear, and staff.

The naming convention for nova weapons is:
novatier(lvl)(weaponType)(basic) in which there are two types.
pistol, rifle lvl 0-10

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: I can't find (insert item here)/I am having issues with your mod...
A: Despite my best efforts, it is possible I may have overlooked some issues.

Reload, or restart the game. Make sure the mod is installed correctly (in mods folder). (Not as .zip file)
Additionally, make sure that you only have the latest version of this mod installed.

If you are still experiencing issues, please report the problem in the bug report discussion and include your log.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: Assuming this mod ceases to function, what will become of the mod?
A: In this case, you are free to repair and re-release the mod, but do attempt to contact me first as I may already be doing so.

This mod has been a long time in the making, and I am proud of what it has become.
Sure, there are many other mods out there which do the same thing, but not in the exact same manner.

I would like to personally thank all the wonderful members of Starbound's modding community
who helped make this mod a reality.

Among these, there were a few who stand out as noteworthy for their personal efforts.

- MetaFace
Custom Lua to Restore Staff Functionality

- FluffyFloran
Testing, Feedback, General Modding Assistance

- DrPvtSkittles
For their custom crafting and vending templates which definitely made my life quite a bit easier.

- Silver Sokolova
Custom Lua for Fixed Weapon Prices

- Neb
(???)

What's Next?

In the future, I hope to provide more content, updates, and support for this mod.
I still have a few ideas left for this mod, and I hope to bring them forth in time.

I play with a modded race, does the mod work anyway?

@Jose: It works just fine! There are no conflicts, in fact I use betabound with this mod just fine. However, betabound does also add in the beta weapons, so there is a bit of redundancy.

Though, unlike betabound, my versions of the weapons aren't crafted at the anvil, but at the custom weapon smithing station, so they are separate. As such, the overlap is minimized.

The later stages seem a bit on the strong side for their resource cost (At least the Glitch 2h swords, cant speak for other ones), still had a blast with the mod tho! Amazing work!

Are there plans to add support for popular modded races? O:
